Todd Collins is officially one of the crappiest QBs to ever start a playoff game …

how about gerrard

HUGE!

Clutch.

4 & 2, season on the line. Scrambles into FG territory.

Damn, I was rooting for the Steelers.

Oh well.

Another set of games today!

Bring on Le Jags!

Good to see Tennessee and Pittsburgh both lose.

Go Browns.

Speaking of the Browns, I keep seeing talks of where they are considering dealing Derek Anderson.

Why on earth would they do that, especially if that leaves them with unproven Brady Quinn?

I don’t think it is a horrible decision.

Derek Anderson will never be more valuable than he is right now.

He wasn’t the reason for the Browns “success” this year in my eyes. Did you see that Cinci game? Yikes.

I consider myself lucky to have seen Brady’s first set of downs, and he almost got us a touchdown.

Maybe we will find someone else instead of Quinn next year to start… but I see Brady being our main guy by the end of next year.

There’s talk of trading Quinn, too.

But there’s no doubt that via the draft or free agency the Browns can get someone as good as Anderson was this year.

Oh yeah droppin Loads all over Bob Sanders!

Wet Midget!

All in all not a bad weekend of NFL games.

I was hoping Tennessee could beat SD, which means Jacksonville would have come to Indy. But since they didn’t, we get SD.

I think it is safe to say that the 4 best teams in each conference all season are still alive.

Solid performance by the Giants yesterday. That’s two weekends in a row that they’ve played well.

I’d really like to see them hand it to the Cowboys this Sunday, even though I believe it will be a Cowboys-Patriots Superbowl. I think the Cowboys have a superior organization, but ever since the days of Staubach and Landry, the only lasting NFL emotion that I have after all these years, is a deep seated hate of Dallas.

As much success as the Colts have had against the Jags this year, beating a team 3 times in one season is a very difficult task. Watch the Giants/Cowboys game this weekend for proof.

Neil, 1.20.08 is only the AFC Championship game. While it may be a rematch with the Pats, you might want to change that date to 02.04.08  That is what really matters…back to back!!

[edit]whoops, date is 02.03.08[/edit]

No real surprises last weekend even though two home teams lost. I thought the Bucs would at least put up a better fight but playing in that awful division really hurt them. Now, on to the real games!

Seattle vs Green Bay
This is a tough one to pick. Green Bay has been on a roll this year but their lack of playoff experience, which Seattle has, might hurt them. I’m pulling for Favre in this one.

Seattle 20
Green Bay 27

Jacksonville vs New England
As much as I’d like to see the Jaguars represent the AFC South with a big win in Foxboro, they didn’t impress me in the second half of the Pittsburgh game. I don’t think they can pull it off anymore. But if they have 1 or better yet 0 turnovers they have a chance in this one. Their pass defense isn’t that good so I expect Brady to really take advantage of this.

Jacksonville 23
New England 38

San Diego vs Indianapolis
The Chargers have beaten the Colts the last two times they’ve played, the first in Indy halting their 13-0 start. The most recent loss was due to Peyton trying to win the game by himself with the backup receivers along with that late FG miss. Those mistakes won’t happen again. I’d expect 1-2 INT at most, but that won’t be enough to lose the game. The return of Mathis and especially Harrison would be huge!!

San Diego 16
Indianapolis 30

Giants vs Dallas
It’s very difficult to beat one team three times in a single season. Without TO, the Cowboys are really in a tough position. If the Giants keep playing like they have the last two weeks I think they can squeak out one more road win. They are currently 8-1 on the road this season.

Giants 30
Cowboys 27

1 team will win at home this weekend. It is New England!

Cripes almighty.

There were 50 media outlets voting for AP Offensive Player of the Year.

Only 4 players got votes.

3 of them were Patriots.

Looks like everyone but Utech will be practicing for the Colts today. I can’t remember the last time they were able to do this. The bye week def came up big this season.

Word. That is fantastic news. If they had Freeny, then I’d be REALLY stoked. But for now, I am just semi-stoked.

On a side note, check this out:

This is from the Jaguars web site…notice the asterisk.

I like that the Browns are first non-playoff team on that list.

That is like winning the NIT!

Fuck the Browns. The Texans are a much better expansion team! :stuck_out_tongue:
