The Official 2007 NFL Thread!

This ones for you and Peyton, Neil!

what a great game! Damn, the Colts looked tired as fuck. See ya in August Peyton.

GO LIONS!!!

sorry neil, i wanted to see colts/pats again, but enough is enough

I called Diego in this one too bitch! :stuck_out_tongue:

Colts tired as fuck after a 2 week layoff, I love it

They only picked him twice today! ;D Coulda used those points huh?

Voleked!

The Colts always have and always will be a regular season team.

Except for last year. that’s the one exception.

and I’m happy as fuck the Giants won. Even though Eli Manning is brutal and very hard to like, they are the team I want to see win the super bowl now. Watching Tom Coughlin on the sidelines is so fun. His looks of bewilderment are priceless.

It’ll be interesting to see how much of a fight the Chargers can put up against the Pats.

Wow, Neil has been conspicously out of this little conversation. W3ird. (my attempt at a little indy dig ;))

Nevertheless there is still a Manning in the playoffs.

Goooooo Patty Pancake Patriks!~

Hey i got almost all of em right!

And this bitch outta be ashamed to have a Jordan contract!

Holy shit this was probably the best NFL weekend for me in years. Even though the Jags didn’t upset the Pats, something I really didn’t think was going to happen, every other game turned out especially to my liking.

My grandson asked me to root for San Diego, because he’s taken them as “his team” in a household dominated by a fanatic Dallas fan of a father, and a Dolphin fan mother who argue constantly throughout the season. And even though I’m sad for Neil, I couldn’t go back on my word to my gs, and am necessarily happy that his team prevailed against the Colts who definitely fell short of their expectations.

And I loved watching Green Bay’s romp over Seattle. The Packers and the Skins have been longtime secondary favorite teams of mine. The Packers because of a distant family connection to Lombardi, the Skins because of distant love of Sonny Jergenson.

But the supremo of supremo wins was of course last night’s game in Dallas. Everything that happens in the playoffs and the Superbowl is definitely anti-climactic after last night’s win by the Giants. A team that built itself up painfully throughout the season beat a team I’ve despised for years, and shut the mouths of two of my son-in-laws for the rest of the year, and gave my eight year old grandson some leverage in his own home. Yes, I’m a happy football fan this morning. A happy football fan indeed.

Wow. Hate off to the Chargers offensive line, you won the game. The Colts didn’t look interested in winning yesterday. All the starters get back and they came out slow and unfocused. It didn’t help that the ball wasn’t bouncing their way (2 tips for INT, missed opportunity for a fumble recovery). The Chargers just wanted it more, plain and simple.

Colts are 0-5 after earning a bye week in the playoffs. Yikes.

Last 3 Colts losses in the playoffs were to teams who went on to win the Superbowl; Patriots (2003) Patriots (2004) Steelers (2005). If the Chargers get Rivers and LT back and close to full strength, they should have a legitimate shot at redeeming their loss in the playoffs from last year.

WHAT A GREAT PLAYOFF WEEKEND!

Of course it always helps when your team wins the weekend finale that no one thought they had any chance at.

Top it all off with T.O. crying in his popcorn, and Patrick Creighton actually at a loss for words.

As a big Giant fan, I really don’t care what happens from here. Not that I want us to lose next week, but if we do, I’ll get over it. Yesterday was the Giants Super Bowl.

GO BIG BLUE!

haha still no Neil in this thread

Ugh.

I can’t understand why Indy’s D played so bad. They gave up season highs in a ton of categories. They couldn’t get pressure on Rivers (or Volek) the whole game.

Man. If Dungy retires, what a horrible game to go out on. Plus it was the last one in the RCA Dome. And Rivers running his mouth to the crowd after the game = classy. What has he ever done in this league to earn the right to do that? You would never see Favre, Brady or Manning do that type of bush-league stuff.

Turns attention to Purdue basketball

Yeah Rivers definitely seems like a biatch.

If it weren’t for him I’d definitely be going for the Chargers all the way. Instead I am firmly strapped on to the Giants bandwagon. Fuck the Packers to bloody hell.

So he argues with some fans, big deal. These are boys in their 20’s and i hold them to no bullshit standards. Who ever said class and pro sports need to go hand in hand was an old WHITE elitist wanker who needed to find a way to keep his thumb on these dumb jocks makin too much money!. Why not tell off some rich asshole with sick season ticket seats to fuck off! Jaw all you want to Phil, you and your team earned that shit. That super bowl last year almost let us forget how UNclutch Peyton normally is in the Big game. Yes Neil, where was the D yesterday because i know it is fully clear to you and INDY fans that the D is what won you a chip last year and not MR. ING!

I, too, have hopped on the Giants bandwagon. My dad is really indifferent about the Colts (for whatever reason), so he adopted the New York Football Giants as his team at the start of the '06 season.

But I also am a Favre fan, too. So the NFC matchup should be interesting. And I could give 2 fucks about the AFC game.
