It was wild!
I didn’t think I could stay up, but I fought the urge to fall asleep.

the falcons reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly suck.
and the pats and colts are reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealllllllllllllllllllllllllllly good.
Wow, I just read that before the Denver/Indy game, Denver named both their starting DT’s inactive, and replacing them with DE’s.
Their entire defensive line was defensive ends.
Didn’t help much…Denver is horrible!
^Yes, Denver IS terrible. Isn’t it funny how they were like 7-4 or something last year and had the front foot into the playoffs, and then every since they benched Plummer for the overrated Jay Cutler, they tanked out and have gone 2-4 at home in what is supposed to be the best home field in football. Nice work, Denver
As for the Trent Green thing, you can say he undercut the guy but it wasn’t on purpose. Look at ANY QB that makes a block downfield…they ALWAYS go low and lead with their shoulder. I’ve seen Brett Farve lauded for being a “tough guy” for the same type of block. I think they coach QBs to block like that to prevent injuries. The problem was Trent did it wrong and led with his helmet instead of his shoulder. Dumb move but not likely on purpose…remember, Trent’s had major reconstructive surgery on his knee before…he knows what it’s like and likely wouldn’t want to put someone else through that. I can understand that Dexter Jackson guy being pissed but you would THINK he would have noticed that Trent Green looked like he was deceased on the field and stopped doing it. In the end, he apologized after the game…I think it’s alright.
And the Bills game…talk about a classic case of bad coaching. For one, the defense on the two pass plays to get Dallas in field goal range were terrible. Is it THAT hard to put all your DBs on the sidelines or in the endzone?? It doesn’t even matter if they pass to the middle since there’s no time for a spike anyway. Just horrible. Not to mention that on BOTH of Buffalo’s last possessions they went pass-pass and threw picks on both of them. If they just RUN the damn ball even for no gain, then they suck time from the clock and Dallas never has time for that field goal. I’m amazed at how many highly paid coaches can’t figure this shit out. But of course…it’s Dick Jauron…once a Lion, always a Lion. And for you Lions fans, wasn’t that Bills loss a CLASSIC Lions loss in the Joey Harrington era? The QB throws tons of checkdowns, can’t move the ball, the run-game is weak but the defense and special teams totally keep you in the game where all you need is ONE flippin touchdown on offense to seal the deal…and you JUST can’t get it. I was having Lions flashbacks there…it was frightening.
By the way, why did Green Bay go so pass-wacky against the Bears. The run game was actually working really well for the first time this year and they completely went away from it and had Farve flinging the ball all over. Stupid, Stupid.
I’m 4-1 and playing the only 5-0 dude in our fantasy league this week. I finally get to start Warner who’s been burning a hole in my bench since I picked him up. It’s clobberin’ time.
By the way, the Cowboys/Pats game MIGHT be a little ugly. Someone should remind the media that the Cowboys opponents have a combined SIX wins between them. Just something to think about. Take the Pats and the points. That’s the Stevo lock of the week.

Good weekend for Cleveland sports.
I can’t say that too many times…
Stupid Vikings. The Bears battle back at the end and then lose by a field goal. Booooooooo. Devin Hester is great. Just get him the ball…returns…offense…it doesn’t matter. That pass from Griese was perfect.
I thought that the Cowboys did OK. Sure, they are a step below the Patriots, but they kept it close at first and didn’t get beaten too badly. They are still a good team, but the Patriots are better.
November 4th…Patriots at Colts. I hope they are both still undefeated.
The Carolina Panthers’ starting QB was alive when JFK was assassinated.
Wind-tested furbies.
i can only hope my falcs dont get fadunked on national tv tonight
miami dolphins absolutely suck
^^Sorry spooks, but after two initial losses, the gints are playing some pretty decent football, and last night they looked pretty good.
^Sorry sloth about miami. I have a good friend who is both a mets and a dolphins fan, and he has just about sworn off both sports.
Go G-MEN! 4 in a row, we play host to the niners next week and then the Phins in the UK. After the Bye it’ll be a showdown with the 'Boys that could be for the division.
I’m just now starting to allow myself to have some hope for this season.
I hate to say it but I get a sick joy out of seeing Joey Harrington on other teams…especially since I see the same stupid terrible things that he did on the Lions. The passes behind receivers, the worthless checkdowns for no yards, him taking off and running on 3rd and long when he has no shot of getting a first down, the screen passes that are nowhere near the RB, holding onto the ball too long which results in a sack, him getting WAY too excited over a field goal…it’s all there. Now I can finally laugh and enjoy it since it’s not my team that he’s ruining. Ah…John Joseph…what would we do without you. But, don’t worry folks…all these problems…they’re not Joey’s fault. Just ask the Joey defenders.
And yeah…is it me or are NFL games just getting shittier and shittier. I mean there’s ONE maybe two watchable games on every week. The QBs suck and the games are usually boring. Even the heavily-hyped Pats/Cowboys game was so predictable I was only half-heartedly watching it while reading a magazine at the same time. Don’t get me wrong, I watch the Lions every week but this product is getting worse every week, even if the games are close.
Oh well…maybe I’m just spoiled by the ridiculous college games.

Pay up: Colts-Patriots ticket prices are steep, and then some
Want a ticket to see the Indianapolis Colts against the New England Patriots at the RCA Dome on Nov. 4? It’s going to cost you.
The rematch of last January’s AFC Championship Game is a sellout, but tickets are being resold for skyrocketing prices. Eighteen premium seats, between the 30-yard lines behind the visitors’ bench, are going for $1,275 to $4,500 per ticket at StubHub.com.
Circle City Tickets owner Renny Harrison said the prices for this game are similar to the playoff game last season, a 38-34 Colts victory. “We never anticipated this game would be like this,” he said.
Looks like Jimmy Kimmel has been banned from MNF.
I watched it live and didn’t think anything was over the line. I chuckled out loud a few times.
I thought the funniest thing was the last thing he said when he was leaving: something to the effect of “I love you all very much” or something.
Seriously, Jimmy Kimmel was EASILY the best part of that show. He kept ripping on the subtle nuances of the game and the announcers…I loved it. They should have him in there every week just for comedy. My favorite was when a call went against the Giants and they showed Coughlin all angry as Tirico said something like “It looks like Coughlin is arguing that call” and Kimmel immediately said “Yeah, but he’s biased.” Hilarious.
Leave it to MNF to ban anyone who actually makes the announcing fun to listen to.

I thought they should have kept Dennis Miller, FWIW!
I though opening night of MNF with Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg and Ditka was great. They could do SUCH a better job than the current cast.
^
I would buy that, although I like Tirico and everything he does with the NFL/NBA.
Kornheiser needs to just stick to PTI, IMO. Jaws is good but not overly great.
Should be a good game tonight!
