    & Tim O’Brien Cover - first time played by Phish, though Mike and Trey have played it together, first as Serial Pod, and frequently on the GRAB summer tour.

Starts off acoustic, but the band switches to electric instruments by the end of the song and there is a little atypical jam at the end.

Radio City Music Hall, New York, NY - Night 3

E3: I Saw Her Standing There (2.34)

*A rockin’ version, no funk to be found. **Morphed into a mellifluous ambient jam out of which the Bowie hi-hat intro emerged. **Trey comes out alone, creates some delay loops and solos over them (a direct homage to the work Brian Eno and Robert Fripp did on the No Pussyfooting album, Eno was in the audience tonight), out of this he storms into the Chalkdust riff. ^The Crosseyed jam turns very atonal, out of the dissonant jam, the prenirvana section of YEM starts up; the rest of the song continues as normal. ^A Capella. ^^With whistling. &The first three songs are performed solo acoustic by Trey, he sings lead on Strange Design. $The Asses Festival modulates until it reaches YEM’s key and the opening composed section begins. $$Where the prenirvana section would start up, Theme commences with Fish’s drum opening.

I’m sorry but they had to pull something special out of the back for the last night of RCMH…come on!

I’d like to see Quinn The Eskimo come back into rotation, for the next setlist composers…

Also, how about the Worcester Centrum (or whatever it’s called now) for the next run? Give em a couple of days off too…

a run at the Worcester, maybe two surprise theater shows (Tower Theater, Palace Theater)

I like how this tour is feasible, like we choose appropriate venues and stuff, but it’s also absolutely monstrous…3 encores on that radio city show and that Paul McCartney encore! ;D

Well…they couldn’t have closed a Radio City run with a Friday encore, that’s for sure!

They could do maybe two nights at Boston’s Orpheum and two nights at Worcester’s DCU Center (as it’s called now).

After the Mass. shows, they could move on to Providence, Hartford…maybe a show at the MCI in Washington DC, then work out west to finish the tour.

This site has a good database of venues in each state:
http://www.worldstadiums.com/north_america/countries/united_states.shtml

A tour closer at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas anyone??

Hey triple poster, calm it down mang!! Think first and then type. :wink:

Well, I was gettin’ excited…sowwy.

11/20/06 - Tower Theater, PA (show announced 5 days before)

1: AC/DC Bag (8:24), Tweezer* (6:22) -> Golddigger** (4:11) -> Cities (5:22), It’s Ice (14:33)*** -> First Tube (7:11) > Catapult**** (1:12), Mike’s Song (12:22) -> Timber (9:33)

2: Trey/Fish Maze Jam (3:22)+ -> Shafty++ (9:19) -> Carini (9:12) -> Get Back on the Train (6:22), Prince Caspian (11:23) -> Piper (13:21) -> Weekapaug Groove+++ (10:22)
E: Dog Faced Boy (2:11), Good Times Bad Times (7:33)

*shortest Tweezer ever! Not that it was bad, they just got into a groove.
**Fish raps “Golddigger,” by Kanye West, with Trey bleeping out the N word, over a hiphop/funk beat.
***unfinished
****Mike sings Catapult over the delay loop ending out of First Tube
+Delay loop/hi hat jam; sounded just like Maze but Mike came out and started Shafty
++turned into a raging jam
+++with Can’t You Hear Me Knocking jam

Awesome show, love the Tweezer -> Goldigger.

This tour has been a nice mix of venues…we’ve had arenas, fields, theatres…it’s just like old times.

For the OKP tour 08, they should maybe hit up a worldwide tour, touching on Europe, Australia, Japan and maybe a summer stadium tour…I reckon they could fill Shea Stadium a couple of times over.

I think we should take a hiatus for a few years.

Oh Kee Pa Tour '10 here we come!

;D

Ha ha ha ha!!

11/22/07 DCU Center, Worcester, MA (2 night run)

1: Camel Walk* (12.58) > Sparkle (3.54), **Bouncing Around The Room (3.12), Stash (10.23), Friday (6.33), Foam (9.39), Fluffhead (16.46), Glide (4.29), The Horse (2.05) -> Silent in the Morning (4.52), Golgi Apparatus (4.34)

2: Free (7.23) -> (Only Shallow, Loomer, Touched, To Here Knows When, When You Sleep, I Only Said, Come In Alone, Sometimes, Blown A Wish, What You Want, Soon)*** (58.26), Taste (11.11)

E****: Harpua (7.13) -> Brother (4.18) -> Harpua (6.37)

*Contained a rock jam, similar to ones found in Splits 95 to 98. No Funk. **Crowd boos upon hearing the drums to bouncin’ Shouts are heard for ‘Play us a sick Ghost!’. ***The Free changes key and seagues into Only Shallow by My Bloody Valentine. The band seague in and out of spacy jam (in which the key is changed in light of the following song) and play the whole of their masterpiece Loveless. ***Narration was about how Harpua blackmailed Jimmy into getting Phish to play his favourite album Loveless at their show at the DCU Center, otherwise Harpua would kill Poster Nutbag and Phish themselves! Trey also reveals in the narration his disdain for Poster Nutbag, seeing as he tipped the authorities off about Page’s possesion in Canada, so proceed to alert Harpua, who is apparently present tonight. Seeing as the ‘Loveless’ performance put Harpua in a sleepy daze, they wake him up with a spiky version of Brother. The original glow and daze of the MBV is relieved, he forgets about Phish’s performance and proceeds to kill Poster. The song proceeds as normal.

Sooner or later I knew somebody was going to pull a 11/2/98 on us!! I like the choice of Loveless since I know Trey for one said they thought about attempting a cover of it for Halloween.

Oh, and I call dibs on the next show!!

why the DCU CEnter thoguh, what about Worcester Centrum?

Show Notes

  • Trey’s solo leads into Two Versions Of Me; unfinished. ** The band ended the first set with a long jam that finished with Trey, Mike, and Page’s looping effects and a wall of noise. The band left the stage one by one until their loops died away. The second set began with this jam starting again out of nowhere, startling the crowd. #Velvet Underground cover; debut. *** Out of a long, funky Cities, the band started to sing the lyrics to Bouncing over the jam.

Greg, I did Foam the night before.
