anyone catch the premiere on IFC on Friday night? I just watched it, and it’s freaking HILARIOUS! I’ve only seen one show, and I’ve already proclaimed it the funniest 30 minutes on TV. We’ve all browsed the Onion newspaper, but the show is even better. It’s basically a spoof of all CNN/FOXNEWS talking head shows. The lead news chick’s delivery is spot on, and she always takes shots at the less attractive on-scene reporters! The news stories had me rolling from the start, for instance:

A cute 16 year old white girl stabs her friend in a fit of rage, so the judge declares the crime so heinous that the girl be tried as an adult black male!! hahahaha
-they interview the parents outside the courtroom and her dad goes, “this is america, no one deserves to be treated as a black man” -hahahaha
Then later in the show, the reporter has breaking news that the 16 year old has been shot and killed by the KKK, saying “that’s what happens when you mess with a white girl”! -hahahaha hilarious

Also, Kim Jong ill of North Korea has agreed to lay down his nuclear weapons on the condition that he get to replace Christian Bale in the newest Batman movie! ha ha HA!

They cut from world news to get the top story in local news, and the lead story in the local news of everyday america is that someone left a tire in the street outside the kroger grocery store! -haha local news always so lame!

man this post probably makes zero sense to anyone that didn’t see the show but that’s what I’m here to tell you folks you need to set your DVR to record this on Friday night!

LOVE the Onion. Did anyone see the Onion Sportsdome show last night? It could’ve been SOOOO much better. It has got to be tough to follow Tosh.0 anyway.

That’s weird, I just stumbled upon this last night and thought “how long has this been on, I’ve never heard of it”. The best was that I was watching TV with my 15 year old brother who had never heard of the Onion and wasn’t sure if it was real or not at first. I thought the show was pretty funny.

Yeah, I need to watch that. I heard what hurts it is that the show is recorded like a week in advance so the sports stuff isn’t exactly topical.

And is anyone else REALLY annoyed by the trained laugh-track audience on Tosh.0. It’s a funny show but not EVERY one-liner of his is uproaringly funny. It kind of gets on my nerves. Still, going with The Soup for that one.

And anyone else thrilled that Always Sunny reruns are on Comedy Central now? The last few weeks I’ve watched hour and a half marathons of that show since I never remember when it’s on FX and they’d rather show X-Men 2 for the billionth time than show reruns of it. Awesome show.

^I guess I’ll have to give that show another chance. I think I checked it once when it was new and wasn’t fond of the guy.

My eleven year old gson loves Tosh.0, so the show’s become one of those ‘common interests’ we share. It’s also good because he seems to be so guarded most of the time except when we talk about Tosh. Then he turns into the laughing happy kid he should be.

I caught about 10 minutes the other night and yes he does have a “want to punch” quality about him, but I did chuckle a few times.
