My favorite show ends tonight after 7 seasons, and I imagine it’s gonna be a real shit storm. Anybody else here watch this show?
I’ve watched it since season 1. Can’t wait, but I’m low on time, so we’ll discuss after the big finale.
What a horrible way to end a show. Lets all have a big cheer for the Sopranos for completely ruining series finales for all tv shows.
Did the Commish die?
I didn’t think it was a horrible finale. But yeah, I wish they didn’t leave us guessing what was gonna happen next at the end.
I don’t know man. I don’t think Shane would have killed his family. Granted he was all fucked up on coke and stuff, but still, the character that’s been developing for the last 7 seasons wouldn’t have done it like that. And Ronnie man, I felt like there should have been more to that, they just cart him off and we’re to assume he spends life in jail for all that shit.
Mainly though, I’m disappointed in the time that was wasted in that episode. They made it an hour and a half series finale and only like 30 minutes of it had to do with the story line. The rest was bullshit 5 minute scenes of Shane helping his wife to the bathroom and stuff. And bringing the serial killer kid back? That was 30 minutes of the episode right there that ended in them saying “well he’ll confess eventually.”
They tried to pull that “well the story goes on even though the show won’t go on” kind of ending, and that sucked because all it did was leave a bunch of unfinished business at the end, with no season 8 to make sense of any of it.
But I’ll give them one thing, they’ve kept me entertained for the past 7 seasons. Not many shows leave you wanting more at the end of each episode and wanting even more than that at the end of each season. I will miss Mackey.
Yeah, I remember thinking that they were wasting time with that bathroom scene. I thought the last scene with Mackey in the office was great just for his acting alone, even if it left things unresolved.
