I’ll be seeing it… But don’t expect anything great, or even good for that matter.
I can not even tell you the last new Simpsons I thought was good.

I read online today that we’ll catch a glimpse of Bart’s penis in this movie.
I’m dead serious.
Let me shine a ray of hope into your hearts. The Simpsons film has been produced by many of the staff from the heyday era. From the 5 different reviews I have read of the test screenings, all have called it “excellent” and “just as funny as seasons 5-7”. I am very excited to have some new material that is not shameful and depressing.
And yes, Bart is appearantly VERY well endowed
its gonna be awesome.
but yeah Futurama’s way better than recent Simpsons years.
that is incredibly dumb.
How ridiculous. Leave that kind of crap to South Park and Family Guy.
figures that I have seasons 1-4 of simpsons, and the golden years are 5-7.
I actually think 7-9 are prime seasons. I’m not sure about anything after 9 b/c I don’t have any of those on DVD. Yet.
It’s like a plague, I tells ya!
I’ll be seeing it for sure.
I’m super excited to see this flick. Bringing back all the writers is the greatest idea ever! I might even go see the midnight showing for this. WOO HOO!!!
Season 9 is def. a cutoff for quality, but I still believe that 5-7 is the peak of the series’ existance. Season 7 is my absolute favorite season containing my two absolute favorite eps: 22 Short Films about Springfield and Lisa The Vegatarian.
^some friends of mine were just talking about that but last night!
Ralph: Oh boy, sleep! That’s where I get to be a viking!
I haven’t seen a new Simpson’s in years, but it looks like all the classic writers are involved in the screenplay… including John Swartzwelder…
… and we’ve also seen Bart’s weenis on the Rolling Stone parody of the Nevermind album cover…
Is it me or is it just plain trendy to rip on the last few seasons of the Simpsons. I laugh just as much as I always did. In fact, the show is FAR more funny than the first few season when it tried to be a real sitcom with life-lessons and crap. Plus they always tried to put the focus on Bart which really limited the show.
^ I was kind of thinking this too, because when I tune them in, they still crack me up. The only difference being that I don’t tune them in with any regularity. Maybe it’s format is predictable, and so are the jokes.
I try to watch each new one, and I honestly do not like them that much. Sometimes I wonder why I still try and catch it, but I do.
I think The Simpsons moved waaaaayyyyy over to “let’s see how wacky we can all be”… and it has lost my attention.
Does anybody watch American Dad? Sorry for the thread hijack.
