The Simpsons Movie.

I’ve always felt that American Dad got all of the jokes that were rejected or weren’t good enough for family guy. I usually roll on the floor for Family Guy but I’ll go entire episodes of American Dad without laughing once. How weird.

After learning of the 7-Eleven/Kwik-E-Mart promotion this morning, I just had to check it out. It’s a long way to the converted Kwik-E-Mart in Chicago, so I just stopped by the local 7-Eleven (I would describe the area as Crackton.) I still came away with my Simpsons goodies: Woo-Hoo Blue Vanilla Squishee, pink frosted donut, and Radioactive Man comic book. Neither the male nor the female employee looked like they gave two shits about The Simpsons. I highly recommend the Squishee. They have a two for one coupon that you can print off the website. And you can enter the contest to be animated in a future episode. I forgot all about the movie for the past month. I think it will be good.

I know the movie will be hilarious. No doubt about it.

I bought seasons 1-6 on pirate DVDs from Japan on Ebay for like 45 dollars a couple years ago! Good shit!

I got a free movie poster of Homer eating a donut yesterday.

D’oh!!

Whatever it was, the township of Springfield, Vermont, was selected as the hometown of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, beating out 13 other Springfields across the country for the honor, which, among other choice bragging rights, allows the hamlet to host the world premiere of The Simpsons Movie.

And all the other contenders can eat their shorts.

With just 9,300 residents, the smallest of any of the entrants, the Vermont contingent won out after submitting a five-minute clip explaining why their Springfield

Jamie and I went to Texas for the past week to see her family. I heard a Texan remark that The Simpsons is for the “stupid of the world.” I just always feel so welcome and comfortable down there in wonderful Texas.

^That’s a curious response. What makes her laugh?

I don’t get this whole thing. I heard about it earlier. The “Behind the Laughter” episode a few years back refered to The Simpsons as a ‘Northern Kentucky Family.’ I thought that put an end to the whole never saying the state thing. Who are these bums trying to change it?

Anyone else doing the midnight showing tonight?
