The Simpsons Movie.

oh, wait…there they go

So, I get to the theater last night. Use my little confirmation code to print my tickets out and what do they say?

“THE SIMPSONS, 12:00 AM 7-28-07.”

Can anyone explain to me why they would have a midnight showing after the movie had been out for a whole day? Or rather, how they didn’t have an opening night midnight showing? Bullshit.

Anyway, I’ll be seeing it tonight at midnight, apparently.

^Ha Ha

I went here today in Maryland. and it was AWESOME!!
Movie tonight for us.

fucking classic

Bwahahaha, all the 7-11’s hired people from India to work the register. Priceless.

Just got back from the movie. Fucking hilarious. There are so many little things about it that make it funny. Go see it.

Laughed my ass off. Just a good long episode done right.

-Lower, between 1 and 5.
-2?
-Double it.
-4?
-Option 4 it is. Good choice.

^Exactly. It wasn’t packed full of stuff trying to make it a movie. It was just an extra-long episode.

Man that was a great fucking episode. Did anyone stick around through the credits to see Maggie say “sequel”? I don’t know how I feel about that, but the movie was sweet.

^I stuck around for all. Don’t know what they were getting at with the Maggie thing. As long as The Simpsons keeps going, I’m sure there will be another movie. I’m glad they waited this long to do the first movie though, it made it perfect.

First people said Transformers didn’t suck, and now this. I don’t know if the entire world has turned into liars, or if I should start to trust that the general public doesn’t have as much of a shit taste in everything as I thought.

^Or maybe you just don’t like anything.

you said “general”

No, the Transformers sucked. The machines looked pretty good most of the time, but a lot of the action scenes (there were plenty of 'em) were very frantic and sometimes it was hard to make out what was happening. Also, I felt like most of the movie was about the US military, with the focus being on human characters (most of whom were shown as idiots), weak. I despise Michael Bay and everything he touches.

^Hey Chris, tell us how you really fell

I saw the Simpsons on Saturday. I LOVE it. I felt they did a terrific job moving it from the small screen to big screen and I HOPE they make another one.

yup.

k.

lates.

Let me emphasize:

hahahahaha

It made 72M this past weekend… not shabby.

I’d like to know what people expected out of Transformers? Did you really think you’d get some kind of sophisticated experience?

I thought Transformers was pretty cool. I mean, it’s a live-action movie about transforming robots from outer space. The cartoon that was on when we were kids was great in a 3rd grade kind of way, but the movie takes the Transformers idea into the 21st century with insane computer animation. I’m sure if you watch the movie in slow motion every frame looks perfect. It looks exactly like transfroming robots from outer space battling to the death here on planet Earth…they just do it REALLY fast. Sounds crazy? It is. It’s just a movie. It’s been updated for the current times. (Seemingly for the 20-30 year olds who grew up with the cartoon. It’s really not for little kids.) Constant computer animation, a sports car instead of a VW Beetle, female starring roles (with tight/minimal clothing,) etc, etc. That’s how we do it here in 2007 USA. It was one of the most summerish, popcornish, actionish movies that I have ever seen…and I loved it.
