The sitcoms you watched....

as a kid…lets discuss

The ones that first come to mind for me are

Home Improvement–my Dad’s a carpenter so this one kinda fit into our family routine. My Dad loved it. I didn’t know at the time that Tim Allen narcked on 19 dudes so he could serve 2 years for being caught with over a pound of blow, but it was all good. I really can’t believe that dude is still alive.

Family Matters–Urkel. 'nuff said. Him and Earl, oh the quarrels they would have.

Step-by-Step–my memory isn’t as clear about this one but I know I watched it a bunch. the rebel character Cody stands out.

Full House–I think even I at 8 years old thought this show was cheesy.

and that show with Corey who was a Phillies fan…meh I didn’t watch that too much…

Home Improvement was big in our house as well.

My parents watched Roseanne, something I never really liked. We also watched The Cosby Show.

All of this would have taken place from around 88-93 or so.

Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Jefferson’s, What’s Happening, Cosby show, Cheers, Family ties, Night Court,3’s company and Newhart!

Hi my name is Larry, this is my brother Darryl and my other brother Darryl!

Oh yeah, I forgot about Newhart!! Good call.

Charles in Charge, Out of this World, Family Ties, Home Improvement (it was based in Michigan!), Cheers, The entire TGIF lineup including, but not limited to: Perfect Strangers, Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Dinosaurs (great fucking show), and I remember watching a whole lot of shows that were on in the morning hours when i was young that had previously been sitcoms on during the week.

Heh. Dinosaurs.

One show I watched before school when I was probably 8-10, and I think it was on Fox, was about some kid and his damn robot who lived in his basement. Anybody remember this?

Monkees, Brady Bunch, Happy Days were the ones I watched most.

Taxi, Cheers … what else. I dunno. Lots of Bugs Bunny. Not a sitcom, but still.

A bit of Cosby show.

Maybe The Monkees one more time.

I think I mostly watched reruns in the afternoons, rather than actually follow a sitcom during prime time.

I bought the Monkees on DVD, that’s how much I enjoy that show. Micky Dolenz = most underrated rock vocalist ever.

Good Lord…you MUST be kidding. Talk about the worst concept for a show ever.

And I will NEVER understand the appeal of Family Matters. Geeezzz…

Anyway, I watched the usual ones: Cosby Show, Full House (sadly), Seinfeld, Friends (until it became a chick show about two seasons in), Home Improvement, The Jeffersons, Simpson (is that considered a sitcom?), Family Ties, Small Wonder, Out of this World, Punky Brewster, Alf, What’s Happening, Roseanne, Perfect Strangers, Growing Pains, etc etc.

God, I watched a lot of BAD shows when I was a kid. Oh well…it’s probably why I’m so retarded now. Compared to some of those, Dinosaurs doesn’t seem so bad…

Stevo

How on earth did Growing Pains get away with having a character named “Boner” on network TV?

How about “Nick” from Family Ties…remember when he was cool?

What the fuck was wrong with us back then?

Stevo

Odd that no one’s mentioned the one show we’ve ALL seen EVERY episode of…

227?

Fine…So we’re all just going to say it at the same time then? Hannah Montana!

^^what show is that?

haha Dinosaurs. Completely forgot about that show. “Gotta Love 'DA Baby!” ::shudders::

Not da mama!

I used to watch Fresh Prince non-stop too. Still do when it’s on cable.

holy shit!! small wonder!! i forgot about that…same with out of this world. weird shows.
