tim and i went way back. actually i did meet him a few times. he was a family friends good friend…they went to college together.

Definitely surprised when I saw this.
I never watched Meet the Press but Russert was a giant in all things political news.
yeah, looking back on things, I did enjoy Tim.
He was annoying, but in a good, journalist way.

i thought russert was maybe the one truly objective journalist out there, at least of the well known ones that a lot of people get political insight from.
