Today in Phishtory!

Never met a show i could not forget except for, the Guy Forget show! 10-1-00 Phoenix.

What up yall it’s been a while but i just moved into my new house and have my computer hooked up. Hope the board’s been doin well in my absence!

^ we’re getting t-shirts!

And we now have Gods…

Where you been, Bucketreyhead???

we’re getting shirts?!!!

10-2-99 Minneapolis. This was another one of those super dance parties Phish through in 99. Yes i danced my ass off at this show. LLama, Punch to start was extra hot and an unexpected Quinn in which i dabbled in some fluff(so appropriate, plus it helped me drive all the way to Chi that night) was a treat. But the party started at the Split. trey dropped a loop just after the last melt was muttered that sent the place ooohing. On disk it is one of those spots in a song you skip back to to hear it a second or eighth time! More dance party with a huge Tweezer and the best Piper of the tour making up the bulk of the second set. Coil>Cup encore was nice with the Piano transition! After catching Vancouver through Las Cruces this MN show is where i jumped back on and did not miss another show the rest of tour. Off to Chicago now!

I cannot wait til Halloween…we should plan something for it.

10-8-99 Nassau Colliseum. After a tear down the house night on the 7th(which included Tube,Fluff,Mikes, Mcgrupp and a Hydrogen played outside the mike’s groove) i anticipated a possible let down before Albany. I was so wrong! The first ever Piper 1st set opener was quite a treat and the first set Meatstick and Antelope was no joke def making it like a second set. A huge Tweezer, Halley’s and Hood followed in the second making it a legendary 2 night stand at nassau. If all that was not enough a special appearence by Tom singing The Who’s " Were not gonna take it " made the run shift from legendary to epic! Albany ended up being some good solid shows but we were all still comparing, oh well!

10/8/95 SET 2 is sandwiched between the shortlived Keyboard Kalvary…There is a YEM > HYHU > Dog Faced Boy > Bowie SET 1 has a Demand > Sparkle…This show is way out in Missoula, MT…which could very well be the closest show that Phish ever played to where I live, but unfortunately I was young and stupid, and I’m sure I wasn’t even aware of the show at the time.

Today is also the first day after the start of the Hiatus…I bet there were a lot of bummed heads 5 years ago today.

Actually 5 years ago I was still realing from the very solid 10/7/00 Shoreline Show! Now that would have been a good last show. One that I am not embarresed to play for other people when listing Phish as my favorite band.

Ugh. I remember seeing the Possum encore at Hershey end, turn to my friend and saying (because it was the last pre-hiatus show I would see), “No more Phish for a long time.”

Yes, goldenroad, there were plllllllllenty of bummed heads 5 years ago.

Then again, if I was living in California and got to see my favorite band play their maybe last show at Shoreline, I wouldn’t be TOO bummed.

outside of NYE, the greatest day in Phishtory!!!
Everyone play their Halloween shows!!!

Ten years ago today marked the performance of Quadrophenia…definately gonna play this show today at work!!! The bluegrass My Generation, mother of all spacey YEM’s, great horns, ICCULUS show opener…definately one of the classic shows.

^you know a show is gonna be sikk when you open with icculus. then divided sky. then wilson…are you kidding?

Today has not 1, not 2, but THREE monumental shows attached to it…

-Dark Side of the Moon show in Utah in '98 that featured the last “Harpua” until July '03
-The “Bangor Tweezer” in Maine in '94 that is featured on A Live One
-The “Crosseyed Antelope” that opened the second set in Florida in '96

ALL THREE GREAT SHOWS!!!

I don’t own any of these shows… :frowning:

I’d definitely recommend the '96 show. Set II is one of the highlights of what some would call a weak (especially the first few weeks of the tour) fall tour.

Crosseyed Antelope!!! Woohoo! Easily one of my top 5 phish jams.

11.7.96, Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY
Today is another special day in Phishtory…

“Bathtub Gin” was jammed to all hell 9 years ago today!

GoldenRoad I do believe this is your favorite “Gin”…enlighten those who are in the dark of it’s beauty!!!
