Today in Phishtory!

I was at both shows mentioned above and had a blast at both! I was not at this show i’m about to mention and it still kills me to know i could have gone. Nina was there and she never stops talking about it. Would you?

^ Oh don’t even get me started about that show.

I could have gone as well. :’(

I still remember my friend calling to tell me about it.
How they made it a G.A. show and everything.
The place wasn’t even 1/2 full and the boys gave all the tour kidz a nice treat. It was pretty much all tour kids at that show.

Uhg. I’m bummed now.

At least you guys got to see the shows you did!! I’d kill to even be at a mediocre Phish show…

You’d take the life of another human being to hop in a time machine and witness 2/18/03? Interesting.

sneaking this one in here…

this show was a big eye opener for me. i had been seeing mmw for a couple years prior to this but with the phish hiatus in effect i was now able to get out and see other bands more frequently. something happened in the president’s hall this night that i’ll never be able to explain. i left this show in awe not sure what i had just experienced. lots of hendrix songs. i dont think there were more than 80 people there either. caught them again on 12/01 (Albany, NY w/ Trey appearance) and 12/02 (Geneva, NY) and eventhough those shows were well played and a lot of fun they just didnt compare to this intimate show.

^um so yeah, the thread is called today in phistory.

but, the setlist with hendrix tunes does look intriguing

yeah i know but there hasnt been much activity in this thread this past month so i figured id throw something random in here. im surprised no one has posted this run of excellent shows. 11/02 and 11/03 always get overlooked because 11/04 is so highly regarded and traded. all great shows in my mind.

^

It’s been a while, but:

ahhhhhh… that felt good.

OK.

Anyway…

This show contains 3 versions of songs that are firmly in my top-10 ever played. “Possum,” “Bathtub Gin,” and “Harry Hood.” I especially love the ending of “Hood,” as it peaks nicely (as all “Hood’s” should. And FWIW, I STILL cannot hear the “Rock and Roll” tease in “Gin.”
