and that they were kickdowns.

“* Pre-recorded tape playing through the P.A. system, with Phish picking it up as they took the stage”
This is a really cool and unique aspect of the show!! I love the little groove that is playing over the PA as they walk onstage.

I will say that I have never, ever heard anyone mention anything (postive) from this show. The setlist just looks…BLEH to me.
The only thing I heard about this show is that the Theme is really, really good. The setlist definitely looks “meh” otherwise.

I am going to join the 20th century today and download a bit torrent program. I am curious to see what the hullaballoo about 2/26 is. At the very least I can download stuff at work.
1-PM me if you need any help getting started.

If nothing else the 2nd set is a segue fest. I was fiending for some sick transitions and they were on point this night. By far my favorite show that tour!

Somebody had to do it.
Even if you don’t think this show is epic like many people do, you’ve still got to give some credit for it being a phenomenally well-rounded and jammed-out show. Its tough for me to name THE best post-hiatus show, mainly because of SPAC, 7.29.03–>IT, and 12.29.03, but this one is definitely top 3 or 4 for me.
^
rockin’ the destiny in honor of the show. (wish i had the whole thing)
Mmmm that was some tasty Gin. Birds and Train both rocked, I don’t think I sat down the entire night. The crowd was rockin 'n I’ll take a 3 song encore any night
i don’t think the show is as great as many make it out to be, but still one of the best post-hiatus. wish i could say i made it inside that night after driving four hours…but instead i ended up freezing my ass off while getting fucked up in the lot after i couldn’t find anyone selling a ticket. DAMNIT!!!
^ouch.
That sucks, but at least we have the tapes, as they say.
Personally, 2/28/03 has been one of my favorite shows since I downloaded it off LivePhish. It more than lived up to my expectations. However, I would now say that 2/26/03 is a better show. It’s kind of like how 11/17/97’s Ghost was my all time top Ghost. But then I really gave 11/28/97 a close listen and it blows 11/17 away. How things change…
Anyway, 2/28 has great versions of Gin, Back on the Train, and Tweezer. The latter two are my favorite post-hiatus versions of those respective songs. That alone makes it a great show to me.

E: Taste, Sweet Adeline
Excerpts of this show comprise Phish’s second live release, “Slip Stitch and Pass”. *With Arabic jam; with “The End,” “Be Careful With That Axe, Eugene,” and “Peace Frog” teases. **With Mike (bass) solo. #With “Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’” tease.
What a great release SSAP was. This show contains some of my favorite versions of “Mike’s Song,” “Weekapaug Groove,” “Possum,” and “Taste.”
