Tour Question!

Okay so here’s my plan…

  1. Get a job
  2. Earn some dough
  3. See motherfuckin Phish before they break up again or I kill myself from frustration.

The biggest (as far as bein a big deal band that draws a bunch of peeps) band I’ve seen live is Ween (awesome show btw) so I’m new to the whole ordering tickets for an arena concert way ahead of time thing.

So for those of you who have seen Phish many a time and are used to the process lemme know:

  1. Do you think after their late summer 2009 dates theres a chance of another tour? (Considering all the shows on this tour are sold out pretty much my best bet is to wait til the next tour)

  2. How early should I get tickets beforehand

  3. How much is it gonna be to get good tickets (whatever your definition of good is)

Might be some vague questions I dunno. But yeah help a guy who hasn’t seen the best live band ever live yet figure out how he’s going to! Thanks.

you can still get tickets for this tour. check out:

http://ohkeepa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sell
http://www.stubhub.com/phish-tickets/

and there are other places too if you search the internets.

And a good price is face ($49.50) + fees ($7 or $8, idk). Do not pay much more than that. Over $70 is fucking ridiculous.

look on ebay too.

Sign up for the Phish Lottery for next tours.

Considering how things are going now, there will more than likely be another tour.

This is good advice.

Having your tickets by a week or so before the show is optimum, but not necessary. There are people who score last minute tickets the day of the show all the time.

Another small piece of advice: Plan well (transportation, housing, $$$, etc.) It pays off.

Looking forward to reading a post by you in the near future talking about how amazing your first show was.

the best thing to do if you’re planning on staying in a hotel is to go ahead and book a room as soon as they release the dates. especially if it’s somewhere like hampton or a new years show. those rooms always go fast.

depending on if you book it through the hotel or online you can cancel if you decide not to go and not be charged. some online deals require that you pay full price at the time of purchase, so i don’t do that unless i’m 100% sure i’m going to a particular show.

and if you wanna go to a show this summer you shouldn’t have a problem getting a ticket in the lot or online for a decent price. except for red rocks.
