Trampled by Turtles is coming!
March 2nd, Pioneer Place, St. Cloud, MN
8 dollars in advace, 10 dollars at the door.
Anyone in the area should go, i mean… it’s 8 dollars if you call in. Awesome bluegrass band.
trampled rocks!!! i’ve seen them countless times in minneapolis, at the cabooze mainly. they actually played at a friend of mine’s wedding a couple years back, good friends of his i guess.
they made the Wakarusa line-up, which is sweet for them, they deserve it!!!
I wish I could go, that’s the day before spring break! Test all week…Blah.
have either of you ever been to a show at the pioneer place?
i love how small it is. all the seats are purple and fuzzy. it’s a lot of fun.
i saw a led zeppelin cover band (iron blimp?) at that place.
they weren’t very good but the lead singer’s voice was just like him.
^ where’s that, in st. cloud? either way, i’ve never heard of it, but i’d like to sit in a purple fuzzy chair for a show…
yeah, i just read your first post, st. cloud…ha!!! my bad…
fuzzy chairs!!!
Tampled 2/17/06 at First ave…Tix in hand… CD release (live ep)…
Good times!!
^ yep, should be a real nice show.
FYI - next wednesday, God Johnson is playing three sets, the first of which will be the complete Dark Side of the Moon, 9:30pm sharp.
^Nice to know. I will be going, They have come a long way!!! Very good tunes!
Trampled will be at Playmakers in Fargo this Saturday!! I’ll be there for sure, since I can finally get into “the house of rock” now that I’m 21.
^ enjoy a steller show POST… Watch Eric _ Mandolin…He rocks that shit hard…
Peace
trampled was pretty damn good last night. They only played about a 70 minute set, but that was all they needed. They covered “cold rain and snow”, which was pretty cool. The guitar and mandolin players voices didn’t do much for me though. The mandolin players voice was pretty much just yelling, adn teh guitar players voice is a little to nasaly for my taste, but they really play hard and play some of the most intense bluegrass I’ve ever heard!!
Erik - Mandolin has no voice…He should be singing one tune which he normally does, aznd that is it. Dave Guitar has a good bluegrass voice, bbut it also helps to play and a good venue…He will never challenge Barry Manilow, but he can get a few notes to work with the band.
They played 1st ave Friday night for 2 hours, and had the White Iron Band join for a few songs…ROCKED…
I hope you continue to check them out when they hit your town up!! They are growing and inproving leaps and bounds these days!!
Peace!
and they made the 10k lakes line-up…actually looks like they’re playing two sets. good for them, they deserve it. one of the hardest working and honest bands around…IMHO.
^ AGREED 100%… They are always friendly to me and my wife, and Dave responds to almost everything you ask on the email side…
I love their style… They rock it with 110% everytime out and make it fun for the fans… Enjoy them before they take off longer and longer and etc…
by “fuzzy” i mean “carpeted”
they are fuzzy, but not what you’d expect when you hear “purple fuzzy chair”
My vision gets “fuzzy” while there…he he
BUMP…Reminder, it is on soon…
^ huh???
tomorrow night! i’'m stoked.
