WOW!!!

As of right now I’m staring at a computer screen not knowing what to type. I just got home from this show and I can’t even sit still. This is the only place that I can think of to occupy my mind for a few minutes before I seriously need to relax.

This show was so good, I think we need to invent a OhKeePa word for kind of show I just witnessed.

I will be making a couple of posts about this night, please give me time to marinate on this. I just needed to say that TREY IS BACK AND IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE HIM, RIGHT NOW, BY ALL MEANS, GO AND SEE HIM!!!

I think the set-list speaks for itself, although the constant “Chicago!” “Da Bears!”, “We Love You Trey!” chants from the crowd really set the mood. Trey was BEAMING! That is the best word to use. He could have been elected mayor of Chicago tonight. The band was spot on, the crowd was so quiet through the acoustic parts you could hear a pin drop, and raging so hard through the jams that I couldn’t control my emotions and neither could most people around me.

So much to talk about. Tune in for more!
I just needed to vent before I stare at the walls and think about tonight.
TREY IS GOOD - LIFE IS GOOD

how many trey shows have you seen?

this show was hot! and like the song or not, it featured what will prob be known as the best version of shine. i don’t care for thsi song, but trey beat the shit out of it. great versions of many songs and his playing AND singing were remarkable. look for the tapes, this show was heat for sure. and to top it off you could tell trey was having a great time.

I’m not sure, I think I’ve seen him about 10 times.

Why do you ask?

Cactusfunk, your right. Shine was very good.

The encore on was just great.
The Cincinnati “freak out” was pretty cool.
The kid they pulled up on stage was great. Pretty good falsetto.
The “Go Fucking BEARS!” yell at the end made the night.
Everyone was having a great time.
Trey even mentioned with a fist pump that you “Gotta Love Chicago”
He sure does.
A very psychedelic show I thought.

Push on Till the Day and Night Speaks to a woman were the highlights of the first set.

Second set was balls to the wall.
46 Days = Great
Shine = Best version I’ve heard.
Sand = I love this song and they really did some exploring in this version. Great sounds coming out of the speakers.

Encore was very nice.
The acoustic stuff was just spot on and the crowd was silent.
Very attentive and respectful. Trey’s voice sounded great and I don’t think the smile ever went off his face. The Sweet Dreams Melinda was really good. Never heard it that slow and the lyrics really stood out to me.

The Cincinnati was just a plain freak out. Great stuff!

All in all, I’m really glad I went. Trey was great and it was awesome to see him in such a small club.

The Jedi is back.

I think BigDude was implying that since you thought he is on fire you must have only seen 1-2 shows. BigDude is a notorious solo Trey hater!

I was actually at the Myrtle Beach show here this past weekend and it was not bad. really good simple twist up dave (which is my fav trey solo song), but the set list was a bit weak. I have just seen so much more out of Trey than playing Shine every night.

^ Jesus guy…did you ever stop and think that maybe you just really don’t like Trey and you should just move on. There are a million good artists/albums out there, instead of spending all this negative energy on one, why not find one to spend some positive energy on. Just a thought.
