Last night was a lot of fun. I could have left after the acoustic set and been completely satisfied. DWD, Meatstick, and Heavy Things were real enjoyable.

Also, Phish should not at Ocelot anymore for TAB clearly dominates it. Horns added a lot to the song.

Is the set two closer the Jay Z song?

I will echo some of the statements above and say that the acoustic set was way better than I expected it to be. I really enjoyed last nights show.

We, as a group, missed our quadfecta by only one song, cavern. If it had been played, we would have hit aall four songs for special meanings to us. But, to get Sample, Wilson, and Strange Design was really nice. It was also to get a lovely little waste being my lady friend was unable to make it. It was like she was there with me for that song. Btw, I have Design in italics above, becuase I can’t find it on any setlist, but I freaking KNOW he played it last night.

However, I fucking hate the Electric Factory. I hate the parking, I hate the set up, I hate the sound, and I really hate the security. I have never been patted down as intensly as I was last night…and the guy did it twice. I also, in 20 years of going to concerts, have never had someone open my pack of smokes and look into it for 4-6 seconds. Pop it open and glance inside, sure…but not check it like I was going through security at the white house. This may have been my last show there, ever. And this is not just becuase of security…it is a collection of all things considered…but, last night being such a great show kind fucks with me.

sorry so long.

Yeah…security should not be looking for drugs TO STEAL, just weapons. That’s for another thread though. I can’t wait for Chicago Sunday. Shit is gonna be HAWT!

Last night’s show was the shit!! Too many highlights to name all of them. As far as jam highlights go, I gotta give it up to Mr. Completely and SAND! My favorite Sand I’ve seen so far and even better than the one Phish version I’ve seen (10/29/10). The acoustic set contained a lot of first timers for me. Talked to a shitload of cool people last night too. TAB shows are an awesome time to be had. I can’t wait to relisten to it.

^Glad you had fun Dan. I will take a TAB Sand over a Phish Sand any day! It’s a Tony/Russ/Trey tune anyway I think.

Sand has come a long way since I first saw it live in '99. The really cool thing is to see TAB songs like Sand and Jibboo evolve from TAB to Phish and then back to TAB again with newfound life. It seems that Trey is really trying to get back to his roots with this tour and having fun, which has got me super excited for the L.A. show.

As far as security goes, that can always put a damper on an evening. I have started putting everything in the bottom of my shoe, no matter how cool the venue is. You just never know what kind of security person you may have to deal with.

I have noticed that Trey is really incorporating songs that indicate the city he is playing in, SOOOO please play “Chicago” by Sufjan Stevens. Perfect song for this band to cover.

Are you saying I have some Randy Newman in my future?

Possibly AEnima, and the US will finally get an Arizona Bay :silent:

Yes…with Jen singing.

^ Got it on the last page, but thanks.

  love that tune!!

Love Ocelot with the horns.

Trey hasn’t played Los Angeles in 5 years, this Friday will be special. I’m hoping for a Randy Newman “I Love LA” cover.
