True Blood

Anyone else watch this show? One of the best shows on tv right now…

i am hesitant to watch it, but i think i will end up checking it out because nearly every series hbo has made is gold.

I fucking love it. It is by far the best show on television, right now (IMO). Extremely well written. These “movie channels” are producing some high quality series’ nowadays;

i.e. Weeds, Hung, Nurse Jackie might be good (only saw half episode), I think some new ones are afoot. I also admit to enjoying Z-Rock on IFC. Very Cheesy, but funny.

yep i watch it, good times, though sometimes the dialogue is just laughable, but then again i guess it should be?

like the scene from last nights episode between sookie and jason… man was that bad writing/acting… but i still love the show… can’t wait to see how the whole marry ann/sam thing turns out

if you want to see a well written tv show series that isn’t on a premium channel check out Mad Men on AMC, it just started it’s 3rd season last night… it’s a show about the Advertising Biz in the late 50’s into the 60’s… really need to watch from the beginning though… but to me it is the best written show on TV right now… though I get more entertainment value out of True Blood

I like the True Blood.

Its one of the few I watch…Dexter, LOST, and Breaking Bad being my other “must see” shows.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, add Fringe to that list.

I was hesitant due to the plot and vampires and shit… but it’s a great show. plus that milf that made the black couple eat the heart pie or whatever is bad as FUCK

Yes, good show. I didn’t realize it was on AMC, though. I have caught in the past on Directv 101. Not sure which network it started on, but nonetheless, it is worth watching.

True Blood is great! I actually like the acting. Some of the humans are designed to be cheesy or a little off and I like that. The quirky characters are what really make this show so fun to watch.

Mad Men is also EXCELLENT! It was a little boring off the bat, but it has developed into quite a powerhouse. Some of the best writing on television (by an almost entirely female writing staff!), delivered by some of the best actors. Plus the content is very engaging. Peggy Olson is like a superhero to me.

Many of the other series mentioned in this thread are totally worth your time: LOST, Fringe, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Weeks, Hung, and Nurse Jackie are all pretty good.

Best series of all time? THE WIRE!

Love True Blood. Just watched last night’s episode. Godric is such a badass.

True. The Wire is a sick show…that show also desreves a thread

this show rules, been watching since it started and are addicted,
seriously one of the best written shows of all time

cant wait until next week to see whats gonna happen

I watch and love, but I don’t have HBO and haven’t been able to see the last 2 episodes. It’s very addictive though. Created by Alan Ball (Six Feet Under), so you know it’s quality. The characters are all very dynamic and unique, making them all interesting to watch. It really has it all: action, violence, sex, danger, romance, humor, suspense. It makes for some exciting viewing for sure.

Is McDilly building a following here?

Yeah love this show as well. My wife has watched it from the beginning, but this season has made me a fan as well. Did you guys know that Anna Pacquin (Sookie) and Bill Moyer (Bill) just got engaged in real life. Cool stuff.

Anyways one of these days Bill and Eric are going to go at it over Sookie. It’s coming…maybe next season…who knows. Seriously though the Bon Temp vamps need to get back to town to stop that bitch Maryann. I bet Andy saves the day and gets his badge back. Just a hunch. I hope she’s dead by the season finale.

aw yeah.

(it’ll be outta my system soon. but until it is…west side)

^ Hahahahaha!!

I was really put off by the whole vampire thing, I don’t really like sci-fi or that kind of fiction, but you guys have convinced me to give it a try.

^I hear you.

Try it once, naked Anna Paquin might make you a believer!
