All the new colors attached to peoples names for the newer members confused me for a min,
i was loosing it for a second, i was thinking to myself, wait, did so and so change their handle… then i remembered ian is back!

definetely expecting an eric vs bill soon.
i wish, maybe next season, they would go deeper into the maker story. ex: godrics maker, etc
also expecting sookie to become a vampire soon too.
The eric vs bill is coming.
As for the Sookie Vamp transformation, I wouldn’t expect it. The show is mostly about human/vamp relationships, interaction, and politics. They need a human protagonist to keep the show grounded.
true blood is hands-down the best show on television at the moment. the first season was phenomenal and the second season has been just as good. sookie doesn’t need to turn vamp as she already has special powers. i haven’t read the books, but i think that bill and sookie will split sometime soon, maybe as early as the season finale.
? regarding sunday’s episode: when sam turned into a fly and went to sookie’s house to observe how mary ann, tara, and eggs were acting, why didn’t he turn back into a human and stab mary ann with a knife in teh back while she was distracted?
b/c maryann is immortal right?
Yeah, they’re definitely setting up next season. I think Andy, along with Sam and the few other people who are unaffected by Marianne are going to take care of her by the end of the season. Sookie drinking Eric’s blood and the introduction of Bill’s maker are going to have a lot to do with next season’s conflict I think.
I cant wait until sunday now
I think that Andy will come in one some way or another to save the day, i dont know if sam will make it or not,
it has just seemed from the beginning of this season he is headed out, from maryann or just wanting to leave.
unless something happens to maryann, we will see though, def. gonna be interesting
I really enjoy this show. The problem i have with this show (and others that I really enjoy), is that I start taking them too seriously instead of just enjoying them. What I mean is, I start over analyzing stuff about a show once I really get into it.
Spoiler warning for dudes that haven’t seen the show
Like, when that dude went in the house and blew himself up. Sookie’s brother was standing right next to the guy, but yet he is unharmed? Meanwhile, all that’s left of the suicide bomber is his hand? What’s up with that? I would have more respect if that guy, even though he is one of the stars of the show, was killed. It would make you think, ‘wow, anything can happen’. Why not just blow up the whole house and have Sookie and company walk out the front door. I mean, if you can stand right next to the bomber and not die, why not right?
Another example, Godrick goes out in the sun and burns up in like ten seconds at dawn. But yet, in last year’s season finale, Bill walks in in broad daylight at like noon to fight that one guy(for like ten minutes), burns up beyond recognition, but doesn’t die? That is just bogus if you ask me.
It’s like, they want us to accept these vampire rules and codes and physics, but yet, they only work on the people that won’t matter if they’re killed off. If your a star on the show, you could go out at noon and play 3 on 3 basketball, burn up a little bit, and still be allright. I mean, if you go out in the sun for a second, and you’re a vampire, you should die instantly in my book. Otherwise, each and every vampire should be able to play 3 on 3 basketball out in the sun and be just fine.
See what I mean about taking shit too seriously lol. But anyway, even still a very enjoyable show and this is got to be the longest I have ever written about a TV show so you know it has some substance.
BTW, what is that chick supposed to be that violently shakes and causes orgies and those creepy dark black eyes that really scare me? I’m serious too, if I someone look at me with those eyes I’d shit my pants instantly. We got the vamps, the shapeshifters, some werewolves, so what’s that lady supposed to be called?
^that cracked me up because it reminded me of this kid i once knew named matt.
matt had this problem of having absolutely zero suspension of disbelief. i remember seeing some action flick with him that had lots of car chases and gun fights. he was actually counting the rounds fired from the guns. if they exceeded what he thought to be realistic, he’d get PISSED and yell “oh yeah right. there’s no way a clip can hold that many rounds!” loudly, in the middle of the theater. the more it happened the more pissed he got.
i remember when i saw Lord of the Rings he was with us. that scene at the end, when they were fighting all those Orcs, he couldn’t handle it. there was just no way, in real life, that that few people could defeat that many Orcs. ‘‘oh my god, yeah right’’ over and over.
funny shit.
^^I agree with you about Jason being next to the bomber. But when Godric is on the roof he says something like “At my age, it shouldn’t take long” so I think that covers that part. Sucks though, because Godric was the shit!
fuck yeah thi show is teh tits!! at hampton i saw a guy wearing a shirt with a red vial on it that said 100% vampire blood. i have to get that shirt.
and yes the acting is terrible but, not unlike nitrous, once you get a taste, you want more
SPOILER**
the one thing that bothers me though is the black girl’s character. though i guess itll be interesting why mary ann took such a liking to her.
also i think mary ann is essentially a demon, though daphne referred to her as a myenad (sp?), but not sure about her “immortality” cuz eric said to bill that vampires were “immortal” when they can clearly die.
^^now before godric died he did say that burning up wouldn’t take long because he was so old, but i still thought they couldve done better than that animation.
and lastly im getting frustrated with erics character because i thought after everything godric said and did he would start going mainstream or whatever but then he tricked sookie, and was all douchebaggy in that dream.
lastly, best line ever…
Sookie: “Godric’s your maker, isn’t he?”
Eric: “Don’t use words you don’t understand.”
Sookie: “There is a lot of love in that relationship.”
Eric: “Don’t use words I don’t understand.”
shit i really didnt read like half of the posts before me…my bad
i’m pretty sure that it’s an age thing w/ the vamps in the sun. bill isn’t even 150 years old (as a vamp) and godrich was over 2000 years old. right before the sun comes up, godrich remarks about how it won’t take very long for him to die “at his age”.
maryann is a maenaed (sp)
when the bomber came in the house, jason approached him asking him what he was doing…the bomber pushed him aside(i guess behind the brick fireplace, which apparently saved him)
I like how basically every great show that everyone talks about is on either HBO or Showtime…and I have neither. Oh, Davy…
^if you know how to use torrents you too can watch these shows, hell some sites even stream them… though normally will take longer for the newer episodes to appear
if you go to www.btjunkie.com you can find all the episodes of any of the premium channel shows
yea you just gotta poke around
I’ve watched the first two episodes, admittedly the second was whilst browsing the internet at the same time… I can’t get into it. I literally never watch shows with any kind of fantasy element in them, they just don’t do it for me really. Is there any reason I should keep going, does it get really good in the next episode or two?
^i think it takes a while for some to get into it, would keep trying it man, if the next episode or so doesnt work then i would just give up i guess
i really dig this show, there is more to it than the fantasy element
the 2nd season is AWESOME, but you gotta watch the 1st to really understand everything
the last few episodes of the first season are really good as well
i got into the show by renting the first season thru netflix and then ordering hbo just in time for the start of the 2nd season.
i was intrigued by the first episode but thought it was kind of trashy at the same time. by the end of the 2nd episode, i was hooked. i got the rest of the dvds from netflixs and i was literally watching 5 or 6 episodes in one sitting. when people say they can’t get into this show, i’m blown away. this show is so far beyond anything else drama-wise on television in the same way curb your enthusiasm is to comedies.
