Was up in the northeast for a wedding this weekend, and man I internalized how Phish has just speckled the landscape with stunning shows. Seems like every sign had a city that Phish has played in. Hartford, Providence, Worchester, (Coventry heh)…Then on the radio when we got into NY state, they were talking about plans for a new Nassau Coliseum. Good stuff.
That’s quite possibly the finest shed I have ever been in. Not a bad seat in the whole place!
I’m excited for summer tour, but since I can’t go to any shows, I’ve been kind of going on a cd-buying binge. I picked up Slip, Stitch And Pass and The Siket Disc in an Amazon order and my pre-order for the Japan show finally showed up. The next one I’d like to pick up is Halloween '96 but it seems to be completely out of print. Any chance they’ll press some more cd’s of that? Or any of the other out of print Live Phish releases?
Had Phish dreams last night. Was at PNC before the show started with the OKP, and we all had primo seats together dead center. I can only remember Brett and Marianne for sure, but everyone else around me was from here.
James Franco was also at the show in disguise, but people found him out anyway and were making fun of the way he really talked with a thick Brooklyn accent.
I really need to act my age.
Trouble is, that’s all it would be.

I’m conflicted about this summers shows. First I was gonna do Alpharetta through Portsmouth. Then the fest was announced and I wanted to do that so I dropped Raleigh and Portsmouth since there was no way to do them all.
Now my tour buddy got laid off and can’t do any shows except the fest. And my money situation is tight. The reasonable thing would be for me to sell my Alpharettas, get a refund for my room and just do Charlotte since it’s so close and then do the fest.
I really wanna do Alpharetta again though. I had decided to sell them then I imagined getting off work, driving to Georgia, walking in the venue and hearing the music for the first time since 1-1-11.
I mean I could just do Charlotte instead but it’s so much more fun when you take a few days and just ride around and hang out.
I’m only seeing Blossom, so consider your conundrum a win-win whichever it turns out.
