Type Your Phish Thoughts

Great to see so many of you this past weekend. What a great time.

All in all a wonderful weekend. Great music & great people.
I’ll give some reviews of the shows in the respective threads.

But my Phish thoughts are just this,…I love this damn band so much.
I’ve gotten to meet so many great people through Phish.
Can’t wait to do it all again in August!

I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT TO SEE PHISH!!  :ugeek:

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

What if the DWD jam from DTE was the Cobo 46 Days Jam if they had finished it in 2009? :astonished:

I’m in gear, the cooler is stocked and there’s one stop on the way out for ice.

It’s totally crazy that I should be so stoked for yet another concert. This will be my 41st, and it’s as if it were my first all over again, and I love the vibe. I think sometimes that this part of the experience is my favorite. It is definitely the most exciting, even up to the moment the lights go down and the band takes the stage. More exciting even then the quick discordant stums of the string or taps on the snare as Trey leans over to Mike for some totally unknown reason just before the set opener is heard.

Love this shit, love this band.

Damn, fone’s catching up to my show number! Bill, say hello to Eric for me man. Oh wait, shit I have that backwards. Bill make sure Eric says hi to you from me - I hadn’t asked him to, maybe you can ask him for me?

I love this band too man, and it’s a great time to love them too.

Speaking of show numbers, today is my tenth show and today’s date is June 10th.

Just thought I’d throw that out there… or something.

Today is the one year anniversary of my first show. YEEEAH FIRST EVER SHOW OF LIFE!!! Fishman totally whiffs the Antelope ending but then Trey called him out so it was funny.

So, what does everyone think about my chances of just getting tickets in the lot at Charlotte and Raleigh? I really don’t wanna spend the money on face value tickets when I could just get $20 tickets in the lot. But I also don’t wanna take risks, it’s just that I’m really broke right now. So yeah, that’s something that needs to be addressed. I don’t have any hotel rooms either, but that I can just do on the fly.

Phish next week, holy fucking shit. Snuck up on me BIG TIME.

^ Well, had you been in Camden, where tickets were still selling at premium online the day before, you might have been miracled a lawn tic, if you ran into me, that is, and had the correct answer to my trivia question.

I was heading over from the near lots yesterday afternoon to meet some good friends who had a pav seat for me in exchange for one of my lawn tix from PTBM. This meant I had one lawn tic for sale, and the scalpers were really looking to pick them up in the lots for re-sale because they knew the show was sold out.

And I overheard two of them talking about offering ten bucks for extras, but certainly no more than twenty because they could turn them around for at least forty to fans without. So I wasn’t sure what to do with my extra as I began my trek along the river, when I saw a dad in tie dyed shirt walking with his fourteen to fifteen year old son, both with their fingers in the air.

As we approached one another, I said I had an extra lawn for sale, and he responded by asking me how much I wanted for it. I told him I was looking for twenty-five, and he winced, and I said “BUT, if you can answer a Phish trivia question, I’ll give you the ticket for free”

They looked at me in astonishment as I asked them what song Ben and Jerry sang with Phish at the Clifford Ball. The old man got really flustered and couldn’t get his mind around it, saying “shit, I know this, I know this”.

His son, saying nothing, leaned into his ear, and the dad shouted out, “Brother”. I took the ticket out of my pocket and handed it to him, and said, your son really deserves it, and he agreed.

He and I hugged and wished each other a great show (which we got), and went on our merry Phish way. So all you have to do, Ship, is to find that spirit on the lots, and you’re sure to get it.

^That is exactly the kind of story I needed after the day I just had at the office. Thanks Bill.

^^ That story made me smile!

Piper.

Oh what has become of my precious piper?

It’s like you’ve become Treys hooker. Jump on rough then pump vigorously for about a minute and you better cum fast!

What happened to romance?

^

^ Dan, tomorrow is my tenth show, and the date is 6/12. Go figure

Your wish is Trey’s command.

Mike is the new Trey.

I agree. Ive been thinking along those lines lately too.

AWESOME^

bill, i wouldve told that father n son to suck on my hairy balls gently if they scoffed at a 25 dollar lawn ticket. fuck those low-balling wooks. and no one should listen to my opinion since i havent listened to any shows since cinci, but i find the average number of 2nd set songs going from 6-8 to 18-28 in one week troubling. these last few sets look like the midnite set from cypress…heard reports from terr that the band hasnt been smiling onstage since greatwoods too…something is awry. im sure the southern run will turn things around tho
