^^Conversely, I’ve been on a Phish bender since just before Juntavinylomgwow. But when I’m not, I’ll tell ya: I really am surprisingly disinterested! I also have one summer tour ticket, so I’m just hoping my obsession can stretch out one more month. I’m like this w/every band I love.

Lately I’m also burned out on Phish. Sometimes it’s the only thing i want to listen to but mostly It’s been Yes, Jimi and the Dead, mixed in with this great Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds live album my friend let me upload to my library. Tim Reynolds is pretttttttty good at the acoustic guitar

I love being a Phish fan. It’s one of my favorite things about me.
The portion of the crowd who takes a break and basically tunes out (in the not good way) during the jam portion of a tune, only to come back in whooping it up during the crescendo, is missing out on a lot of good music.

Yea wow dc alpine is sneaking up on me too, little bursts of excitement are starting to occur but I have had other things on my mind more than any pre terr before. I very rarely think about it. I’m equally excited to hang with my brahz from this board and elsewhere as I am for the shows. But I won’t lie I’m giddy for another dc alpine run, hopefully they will be playin well and surprising us a little by then. Jah be praised.
^Couldn’t have said it better. I am so balls deep in work and future plans, that I am just realizing this shit is just over a month away. Time flies when you are slaving away at a job you fucking hate. 
I am reading this great book called “The 4 Hour Work Week” and I am realizing now that money isn’t everything in life. It is when you live in Chicago though…you gotta have that shit. Also with my profession…you gotta spend it and dress well, drive nice car, go to nice restaurants. It’s a lifestyle. Matty is ready for some flip flops and stress free days, that is for damn sure.
Btw, I am pulling out the rage robe for this tour and gonna get slappy on them jams. Lookout.

You bet your ass you do. I will show you the rage robe young Drew and you will have the desire to fucking rage immediately. It is more a state of mind than an actual garment, however. Nonetheless, it must be worn with pride.

^^Good call on Trey and Claypool reuniting…a new Oysterhead album? A new prpject altogether would be sick. I kind of feel that Trey has moved on musically from that style, though. Though “Steam” is a bit Oysterhead-y
