Something about watching old grainy videos makes me wax nostalgic about being in Doug’s basement and lighting lots of Nag Chamba.
I don’t even care how geigh that sounds ![]()

And putting cigarette burns in that green couch.
That awkward moment, when your friend comes downstairs to tell you that your Dad found your pot. And that he’s rolling joints with it at the kitchen table.
Hell yes. I love the mix. Page is way more level especially. Probably the most balanced mix in a long time!
^Almost Hampton levels in terms of how balanced Leo sounds in those new boards…But nothin beats 09’ Hampton, he was balanced and way loud (which is how it should be)
At both F8 and SUPERBALLIX I was in the House of Live Phish remastering a song at one of the computer stations and you would be amazed at what Phish sounds like if you make Page the loudest and Trey the lowest in terms of overall volume balance…Page freakin hammers!!!
There’s a reason its Page Side, Rage Side…
I just took an order at Domino’s from a Jon Fishman. I laughed really hard and asked him if that was really his name. “No.” I cracked up and got a lot of weird looks from customers and staff.

Or that other awkward moment when your friend’s Dad makes you smoke as much weed as you can and then flush your stash down the hotel toilet on the border going into Canada after the Great Went. (Lemonwheel??)
And then having the toilet back up and overflow and you have to call the front desk to send a maintenance man to clean up your bathroom floor.

I think that was Lemonwheel…we stopped at Nectar’s on the way home, which I barely remember because he was making us smoke all the weed before we crossed the border.
In other news, I wish I had time to really listen to Phish. I mean, I listen to it pretty much all day at work, but I mean LISTEN to it. Like just to sit there with the lights down low and no other distractions. I miss being a kid. Being a grown up sucks balls sometimes.
^I kind hear you for the LISTENING part. I used to be crazy on these songs while in college…just seems like so many distractions now. I have found a kinda resurgence where I’ve been using my commute to lay into a ton of old tunes…it’s usually a 45-50 minute drive each way and it’s just me and some tunes so I find I can focus on that stuff nicely when I’m not swearing at other drivers.
Yeah now that you mention it that was the only saving grace of having an 80 mile commute to work a few years ago. But I’d still prefer to live 2 miles from work as I do now. Fuck that noise.
i wonder what exactly was the thing that happened the moment of inspiration that flipped what was the 1st set of The Great Went into what resulted in the 2nd set…

I’m gonna go with Drugs for $2000 Alex…er…Tanas
I must add, I’m glad they did whatever they did when they did it because it made for (possibly) my favorite two days of Phish ever.
Still remember CLEARLY seeing UFOs in the bright moonlight.
Deeder
I can’t remember about my second show, whether the girls that my buddy and I were with considered it a date or not, … but I do remember there being an issue where one of them had to go home before the show was over, as directed by their parents, and I don’t know what went down. I seem to remember my buddy and I raging a Golgi encore, but the ladies were no longer there. Did they drive themselves to the venue? Did they just go outside to wait for us? Did the mom come and pick 'em up? Alls I know is I saw the whole concert.
