Type Your Phish Thoughts

I would like one order of shipping.

“Waiter, is the garnish free?”

“Yes.”

“Okay I’ll have a large plate of garnish.”

That is why I freaked when I saw your 9.99 post about it. Hoping one day I find it at a yard sale or something.

Yeah, that was a cruel prank! Sorry bout that. It was the Casper goof I was really after.

It’s reasonable to assume it’ll get the JEMP Records treatment, since Lawn Boy did, and that got vinyl’d on its original run, on Absolute A-Go-Go records.

OMG why did I also think Rift came out on Vinyl already?

Perhaps I have time traveled or seen the future and then forgot about that experience … yea, that’s gotta be it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

“Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, from 5pm to 8pm”

I’m sure they’ll show some of it (hope)…but, I think their time slot is 4-7

We’ll probably have a better chance of seeing something on hood stream…even if it’s audio only.

^Of course they are not showing all of it (there are other bands scheduled to play). And yes, we know their timeslot is 4-7. Which is why I feel…

Apparently fans have blown up the twitter acct. of axstv and this was their response:

I just realized that NO is central time so that 4-7 would be 5-8 for us easties…

Now you’ve got me all

^ TBH that was my first thought but I was too lazy to actually look that up >.<

From the Jambase Link above, here is an update (not sure if this means no Phish?):

It probably has nothing to do with AXS but more so with Phish allowing it.

Why wouldn’t AXS want them on?..it would only mean more traffic for them and they know it.

Anyone consider the possibility of a GCH reunion here tonight???

Deadphish Orchestra is playing in NYC with Dead and Phish music aboard the Jewel on Friday 5/2! Booze, music, food, etc. - why would you not go?

Fluffer

Gotta say, I love when Phish gets super cheesy and classic-rock. Like, when Trey is all power chords and Page is banging out the blues riffs. Fuckin dad rock I love it. Like the end of the Dick’s Light from 2012, the end of the Tweezer from 12/28/2012, and that Piper->Takin Care of Business from Hampton 2013 has me grinning and jumping up and down every time.

Like, when Trey is all power chords and Page is banging out the blues riffs.

For me, that’s when Trey goes into “rockstar mode.” Never forget, Trey’s a rockstar at heart. He loves it.

Oh yeah. Love me some rockstar Phish.

I’ve reallllly been diggin the 1988 stuff lately. Such beautiful and clear soundboard recordings are available; everyone could find something to like. I need to hear more, because it sounds like whatever they were trying to do in that era, they executed it masterfully in these 1988 shows I’m listening to.

P.S. That awkward moment when your new roommates first hear you listening to a vocal jam.

Yeah, +1 on 1988.

Made a CD-R for the CA-R, 3.0 Phish material ONLY. Featuring Joy, Party Time, Wingsuit, "Waiting All Night" & "The Line" from Fuego, and Two Soundchecks. Also 'Summer of '89", "My Problem Right There", "Dr. Gabel", and "Show of Life" are on there. I put it on shuffle and off it went.

I'm stoked and kind of surprised at how completely palatable it is, despite it being Phish writing lyrics in a style I *don't* prefer, for the most part. And I'm starting to suspect that I only struggle with that because them old tunes had it goin on lyrically for me. Alas, Phish perhaps doesn't share my opinion, hence the change. But you know, because of the contrast, it's hard to swallow that change. Whereas with KI$$ I don't mind their stupid words cuz they've been constantly and consistently so since the start.

I'm a fu©king nutbag aren't I. Sorry guys, but then, tough sh!t.

Anyway, here's what's cool ... IMO, the 3.0 material stacks up well against itself; that is, all of it exclusively together on shuffle like that, none of it has to live up to the legendary 80s material or whatever. Today I heard TTE, Light, Gone, Let Me Lie, Birdwatcher, Party Time, Alaska, Joy, Sugar Shack, 555 ... had a lot of driving to do. A lot of those songs that I disregarded have now been ... re-regarded. But whenever shuffle chose something I didn't feel like hearing, I switched it to the radio. This turned out to be a cool trick, and I used it twice. Cuz then, I get burned out on radio in like 10 minutes, and by then, I'm so annoyed at the radio, that fuckin' YEAH I'll go back to listening to studio KDF man.
