New Halloween “tradition”?

Are they trolling us? After the whole Halloween debate this yr, it would be quite amusing to see them switch it up from the expected. A shout out to all those who complained about them not covering a album. It’s funny how some always want phish to mix it up(setlists,etc) but, yet want a cover album every Halloween. As for me I love the Halloween album thing, but would gladly take a something different from time to time. Maybe do one of their own albums, 1 set of just improvised jams, new material, random covers :question: I do think they still may do a cover album at some point.

Oh and we need a Foam and Esther this summer :smiling_imp:

Maybe it’s me but I saw that quote as him saying they may play one of their own albums in their entirety as a new “tradition.” Which I’d say most people would enjoy (unless they pick Undermind). Could lead to that return of Gamehendge as well.

Outside of Hoist, I believe that’s the only other album they’ve played in order. Well…actually the last time I saw Trey, he played every song off of Traveler but not in any order.

I don’t have Party Time. I don’t want to pay $99 for the box set. What are my other means of getting it? How am I supposed to rate my top 10 3.0 songs if I don’t have an adequate opinion of so many of them?

How have they not put just Party Time on the website?..At least make it a digital download. Very weird. Anyway, I ended up stealing the thing on a torrent. Sorry, Phish. I’m not paying that for what is a bit of a mediocre album. Let me pay $15 or so and I’ll happily pay it to get it legit.

Quiet at the OKP for first day of tour.

Kinda quiet in general. Everyone on July 4th breaks? Though I’ll admit I forgot the tour started until I came in this morning.

I have four days off this weekend and I actually looked to the tour to see if there was some shows close in Indiana or something that I may drive to but they’re all New York…that’s a bit of a drive. Guess I’m stuck waiting until the 16th.

And, wow, five Fuego songs in the first show…I have a feeling that the band likes this new album. Mike on power drill for Wingsuit?..a strange selection for a set-closer. Maybe the live versions are more upbeat.

Guess what? Just had my 3rd baby and first daughter this past Monday, and I couldn’t be more ok w missing Phish this go round. Enjoy tour for me this summer everyone!!!

I like Wingsuit better in the closing spot of the album than the beginning. Haven’t heard the show yet but I think I would like that. I love that song. I really do. It might be my favorite song on the album now. Fuego is definitely better musically and very fucking rockin’ and exciting, but the lyrics, though fun and entertaining to sing, leave a little substance to be desired. Wingsuit has great lyrical substance, is very meaningful to me, and is beautifully melodic. I need to hear this live. Can’t wait to!

I didn’t realize tour started earlier. I’ve honestly been in work mode trying to focus on working my ass off, paying bills, and saving until I get to go on Phish-cation again! Come on 7.5!

Yeah, I don’t think much thought was put into Fuego lyrics but, like you said, it’s more about it being fun to sing…kinda like Fluffhead which has silly lyrics but are fun to sing as well.

I need to hear this live. Can’t wait to!

Yeah, it’s weird, but I find myself looking forward to hearing a couple of these new tunes live…they’ve all been in my head all week long. Wingsuit is one that may have to grow on me…some of these tunes take longer than others.

Bwahahaha! Somehow I managed to miss the part of the Walnut Creek dvd where the interpreter for the deaf is trying his best to sign “cym-bop…sax-scrapers” during Simple. Fucking hilarious!
