I’m freaking out as to how i’m going to get three tickets to the cinci show and where the moneys going to come from!
As far as jamming goes, is anyone else a real sucker for when Phish gets quiet/tight during a jam? The contrast from the dissonance of type-II jamming is especially awesome!

There’s this old song called “I Am a Fine Musician” that my mom used to sing when I was young and we sang on family trips in the car (yes, I’m old). It’s a four part song where each person is an instrument and they sing a verse and then “imitate” their instrument. One is the tuba and goes “Oom pa oom pa…oom pa pa.” I have always secretly believed it’s where Harpua’s opening line came from even if the meter is completely different.

If I ever hear another Suzy Greenburg in my lifetime, it will be too soon! I get so tired of hearing it at almost every show.

My Phish listening has dropped off dramatically recently. I go through phases and get burned out every once in a while…I guess now is that time. I haven’t listened to any Phish since last week and haven’t listened to a complete set or show in weeks. I needs to get out of this funk.

I absolutely love listening to the studio albums every now and again. Right now I am on one of those studio kicks. I haven’t listened to any live Phish in a few weeks. When I do listen to Phish, it’s only of the studio variety. Right now, Farmhouse is playing in my car, and I’m loving everthing about it.
I just love how crisp and solid everything sounds on a studio album. Sure, you forego the jammed out jammy jams, but the music is very tight and well played (well, except for Round Room).
I’ve been doing this for the past several weeks too. Right now I’m on Story of the Ghost, but was playing Rift for about the past week before that. Farmhouse was before that. Junta before that.
You should see the back seat of my Blazer. The vehicle is 100% clean, except for the 15 or so CD cases in the back seat that are every Phish studio album, plus Mike Gordon’s latest CD, plus “The Dude of Life & Phish”. Hah!
