my dad claims that there clockwise is always clockwise no matter where you are in relation to the clock… caused me about an hour of frustration this morning when i tried to replace the water filter, following his directions of “imagine you’re laying on the floor looking up at it, then turn it counter-clockwise”

This was last evening around this time. I put together some crab cakes, grilled green and yellow squash from the garden and Marie made a fresh tomato and cumcumber salad. The wine was something new for us, a Sutter Home muscato, a fairly sweet white wine that actually worked well with the meal.
Although I’m grilling tonight, it’s much too hot out there to eat. But last night was perfect, all the way round.

I had my EBay account stolen a few months ago. Anyway, I tried contacting Ebay via this Chat thing where you talk to a rep live which seems to be the only way to get this type of issue fixed. Well I don’t have internet and my only internet time is during the one-hour lunchbreaks I have at work. So this chat would literally put me on “wait” for hours and half the time it would lock up so I could never frickin use it. Finally after a month of trying this stupid chat, I try to send an e-mail to the generic help-me e-mail…and I actually get a response! It turns out that EBay caught the guy who stole the account and changed my pw for me before he could do something to it and all I had to do was use the “forgot my password” thing to send me my new pw via e-mail. (Of course I had tried this before and never got it so I assumed the e-mail on the account was changed too). I try it multiple times and, of course, I never receive the e-mail. Mind you, this whole process took months, partly because I’m not online a lot. I tried to send back an e-mail about how I wasn’t getting the e-mails and got a generic computer-generated response which told me nothing. Great. Anyway, I break down and try this stupid chat thing again and I get in within a minute!! What the heck!? Anyway, the gal on the chat kept trying to send me e-mails with the pw and, of course, I still didn’t get them (yes, all my e-mail filters were shut off). Anyway, she finally just tells me the new pw in the chat. I use it, it don’t work. Then she gives me a new password and it finally works. Hurray! After months, my EBay account is mine again!! So I go on EBay, and I’m finally able to bid on an item that I’d been looking at during the time when my account was down. (I couldn’t just use a new lgin because it won’t let you make a new one with the same address/e-mail and such). Anyway, I use the “Buy it Now” feature, go to the site, go to PayPal to pay and…the password don’t work. And even worse I’m not sure if I just don’t remember it or if it was changed by some scammer too. And so of course I used the “forgot your password” function on PayPal last Friday and, guess what…I didn’t get the e-mail.
I will now set myself on fire…
