Type your thoughts (Part 1)

Just read that Phix is calling it quits this year. Not sure how I feel about this. Yeah, they’re not Phish, but from what I’ve heard, they’re still pretty damn good. Hopefully I can catch them if they come back to Chicago. Just thought I’d share…carry on.

I gotta be the first one to start a Phix cover band then…who’s with me?

Go see Helping Phriendly Band. Much better than Phix I think.

hmmm bold words

never heard either

PHIX is very, VERY good…

I personally like he helping phriendly band better

I am not saying anything bad about any band which tries to replicate my favorite bands’ music…But…I have never seen HPB…

Either way the music rocks, and I have seen PHIX a few times and they are also from the old band named RALPHS KIND, anyone from ILL know that band?

Go COLTS!

They might hold KC without a first down for the entire first half!

i wanna watch the playoffs but i don’t know holw to work my roomates’ TV and i’m saving my bar money for the Gators game on Monday night.

I’m watching some 80’s greatest songs, or something to that effect on VH1…is there anything more disgusting than 80’s male musicians who’ve gotten older and fatter but still try to play like they’re in their 20’s?? It makes me laugh when they show a clip from the 80’s with the giant hair and skinny guy then cut to a clip from like last week where the guy has no hair, about 50 extra pounds, and is sweating his ass off playing the intro to THE song.

Basically I feel like I can’t go out without doing something stupid that is bound to get me in a lot of trouble. Why do women, booze, dancing and trouble all have to go hand in hand? I think moving out may have been a big mistake. I kind of feel stuck.

bwhahahahhahahaa

word to the mother fucking streets

it’ll all be alright though

So I am currently learning a lot about the foundation of the USA, and so far all I can say is…

those dudes who wrote the declaration, constitution, and alll that otha shit were freakin genius… damn they knew their shit back then

^Good for you. I wish everyone would take the time and learn about our Countries beginnings. For some reason, I’ve alwasy been into history.

If you’re into learning about “those dudes who wrote the declaration, constitution and alll that otha shit”, I’d check out Paul Revere’s Ride, by David Hackett Fisher. Real nice book and well written. It doesn’t read like a dull history textbook, but rather sometimes like a thriller. Real nice, fast read, check it out.

^^all you need to know

i haven’t yet read it all the way through but i have read a Zinn book called “Declarations of Independence” which is now published under the title “Passionate Declarations”

one of the most powerful books i ever read. All about the power of the people and a collective concience throughout American history.

^ I just purchased that with my B&N giftcard offline. Should get it Monday, can’t wait!

^which one?

A People’s History.

^nice. It’ll probably be one of the next books i buy. I’ve been wanting to read for a few years ever since i finished “Declarations” but i’ve just been too hung up in other things.

I’ll definately read it before/if/while i move to Boston. Lots of American history to dig into up there.
