Type your thoughts (Part 1)

Many moons ago, we had left some beers out in the snow over night.

Ran out of beer, and was in the thirst for more.

Saw frozen beer.

Came up with the solution that the water would have froze, leaving us some straight booze.

It was terrible.

College ruled.

check out the picture in this article about protests in afghanistan.

you have the stardard angry muslims throwing shouting at the camera… but then look to the right. what’s that goofy looking guy doing? i’m pretty sure he’s doing the bear claw and saying “grrr.” and the guy on the far left, thinks it’s pretty funny.

Who holds the real culpability for this Koran burning fiasco, one totally moronic preacher from dinkburg florida, or a national media escalating a nothing story to gain more reader’s attention (make more MONEY)? Who really holds the lives of innocent people in their hands and spurs the anger of another group of moronic religious fanatics? Who should, as Pat Buchanan suggested, the FBI censor, the pastor, or the press?

How does it happen that an idiotic thought of one insignificant person churn the emotions and fears of so many people so far away. How does that thought become an internationa incident. What is the future of individual opinion with this level of communication speed and intimacy?

Man, I’m pretty sure I used to have a plush baby Cthulhu. I wonder what happened to it. Hmmmm.

So now we’re comparing organized religion to the KKK?

Yeah, it’s a choice people make. In fact, it’s a choice that my parents chose to make, and they are incredible people who lead very responsible, positive lives and do nothing but good for other people. And neither one of them preaches to people about how they should adopt their religion, they just go to church and enjoy them some Jesus, and that’s what helps them get through the day. That’s a good thing. So… yeah, they’re just like the KKK, I guess, huh?

^ Hey man…the KKK didn’t start out as a racist organization, and in fact, to this day they do allow black people as members. They just want their members to be “good people” according to their organizations set of values. Like I say, not all KKK members are necessarily intolerant people, same with religions, it just worries me what organizations like those breed in terms of values in their members. All it takes is a few bad apples and relgion has far more than its share of bad apples if you ask me. I’m not judging you or your parents…hell I went to Catholic school and went to church up until I was about 10 years out. My grandma is a devout Christian and so was my Grandpa and I would never have anything negative to say about either of them…it doesn’t mean that I have think positively of every organizaion they are a part of. I’m not a big fan of their Country Club either, but if I said Country Clubs suck (which they do), would that imply that I think that every person that is a member of a country club is a bad person?

^you mean like this guy?

Nicely stated. Country clubs totally suck.

Yes they do. I was at a golf outing for work and of course it HAD to be at this posh CC, and of course I golf awfully shitty–I had this 75 year old douche bag come up to me and ask if I was a member, I said “no” he said “and you never will be either dressing like that around here-and you might wanna think about some new clubs”. My clubs are 2009 Cobras and I had your classic khaki shorts and golf shirt on–WTF did I do wrong? I was about to Happy Gilmore his ass!

And the chinese with their ching chang chong, I can’t understand you, white power!

Country Clubs are no different than any other human organization. There are always a few bad apples in every bunch. Every group of people, no matter what the classification will have some wonderful people and some awful people. I try not to let those bad apples sway my opinion of the group as a whole. If I did I’d eventually be shut up in my house alone because people can be dicks no matter where you find them.

^ Lol. I wasn’t meaning to compare religions to country clubs. I was making a point about how you can’t judge a PERSON based on what clubs or organizations they might be a part of. You might not like the organization, but you can still like the person.

You might be able to find them likable, but that doesn’t mean you can’t judge them. I mean take the mormons for instance. A religion created by a treasure hunter who use magic spectacles to translate golden plates that he found burried in Western New York. I assume that there are probably some pretty nice mormons out there, but I feel pretty secure in my judgment that they’re a nutty bunch.

Sometimes I think that Bobby “Ace” Weir doesn’t get near the credit he deserves as a song writer.

Cats Down Under the Stars is a great JGB Opener!

Steely Dan is Awesome! Donald Fagen is sooo underrated.

Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is not.

I think you may have just booted hank from my sigline… :shh:
