Man it can be hard to concentrate sometimes. Especially when you can’t quit thinking about something/someone. That’s affecting me pretty strongly right now as I endeavor bravely to record these adjusted trial balances. I would much rather be having a beer with this wonderful lady than sharpening my accounting skills. But I guess that goes without saying.

^^Ship, you gotta relax, man. Your mind could build things up to an unreasonable level if you let it. Just to give you an alterrnate perception. The fact that she has a bf may elude to the fact that she may just want someone to hang out with. When I was younger, thinner, cuter, and much cooler, I kept mostly guy friends as I had nothing in common with most chicks. This led to many many heart to heart discussions with guys who couldn’t seem to separate my actions as friendship from relationship. Not saying that’s definitely going on, but just be prepared that it is a possibility before you get all jazzed up about this girl. Just embrace it as a new adventure and let it evolve as it will. In the mean time, stop overthinking it 
^ Oh I am definitely prepared for the possibility that this will only be a friendship. That would be fine by me, because she is incredibly cool to hang out with. But I like her enough to pursue it as a relationship should that boyfriend be taken out of the picture, which according to a good friend of hers is a very high possibility. So either way this works out, it’s gonna be good for me. Best case scenario: I have a girlfriend. Worst case scenario: I have a really cool new friend. That’s a pretty good situation if you ask me.

Awww yeah. Some nice October weather here. It actually just warmed up. It has been in the 60’s during the day until a couple of days ago. I suppose I’ll take another week or two or warmth before the plunge into the freezer though. But when the freezer comes, I’m ready!
Spent a total of five and a half hours in the car yesterday to attend an all day meeting for work. Left at five, got home at eight, and even though it was a long day, the whole experience was made worth it because I got to listen to Phish for most of the ride.
That may seem unremarkable to say, but I haven’t been able to listen to any Phish in my car for several months since the CD player and radio in my car started acting up. But yesterday I took Marie’s car to Maryland, so I grabbed a couple of shows for the ride.
I love listening to Phish while I’m driving, just an exhilerating feeling. And not being able to do it for a while has just made me appreciate it even more. Being on the road at five in the morning wasn’t bad either. I was fresh and wide awake and there was no traffic to speak of until I neared my destination which was Aberdeen MD.
I may be making this trip once or twice a month for a while, and as long as I have a couple of shows to listen to, I could get into it.
I put the hard top on ye olde Jeep yesterday. Bring it on Winter.
I can think of a million worse worst case scenarios. What if she’s a spy and you had a government database secretly implanted in your brain, and that’s what she’s after? What if you finally hook up with her, and all is going well until you get a little too comfortable and notice a bulge? 
What if her boyfriend is one of those crazy jealous biker guys and she just likes to see other guys fight him for her? What if she’s a republican?

I almost lost it here. If she’s like, a Sarah Palin republican, well then that’s the end of that. Her attractiveness would evaporate. But if she’s like, a Ron Paul republican, that would be alright.
TOTALLY agree. We have some great roads here where all you see is mountains for as far as the eye can see, especially the Blue Ridge Parkway, and I like to just put on a haunting Stash and haul ass, barreling through the mountains in my dark car with dark windows, feeling like fucking Mountain Batman or something. That is the best feeling in the world.
I hope I never get tinnitus.

Isn’t it though? That’s why I volunteer for long drives at work. I’m kind of sad that football season’s almost over because it means I don’t get to drive to tiny ND towns an hour each way to get video of a couple touchdowns. The drives are this amazing blend of exciting and peaceful. Very freeing. Also, the news vehicle has an auxiliary input for my iPod and a better stereo than my car. Score.
Which reminds me that my iPod has just decided to go crazy. Screen won’t show anything and the click wheel makes clicky noises but doesn’t do anything. Boo…
Blah. Feeling like garbage this morning after a wonderful (too)drunk evening. My head hurts, and I’m sitting on the couch for the majority of the afternoon. I think maybe I’ll watch some football? Or just keep up with this Mythbuster’s Marathon that seems to be on at the moment.
