But seriously, if you really need to make a little money, go to the J-Crew Warehouse in South Asheville. They hire seasonals for 3 months and pay $9/hr. First shift is 7-3 and 2nd (you make $9.50) is 3-11. You will probably just re-ticket shit and you’ll work with some cool people. Easy $$.

Well it seems I’ve pretty much hit rock bottom, or at least its coming…shit hit the fan with the girl that I thought was something special, now I’ve basically lost all my ‘friends’ down here because of this…it seems my mom’s not talking to me cause of some stupid shit, this has never happened before, she’s the only one who hasn’t seemed to really pick up on how hard this whole thing has been for me and now she’s not talking to me which has made it worse…then i found out the other day that apparently the school is gonna send a letter home about getting caught with alcohol back in Sept., I don’t know anyone who could intercept it, and I have no idea how to tell my parents about it now that so much time has passed since it actually happened…fuckin full of shit cop…I have no idea how my parents are gonna take it, up until yesterday I wasn’t worried about, then I realized things could get really ugly…there’s a chance, I think, i might end up back home pretty soon since my rents know I’m not a big fan of this place but that’s just gonna make things worse I think…I don’t know what to do anymore
I know this sounds pretty pathetic, but my life has changed so much so fast in so many different ways, i just don’t know…never had the blues like this before, I’ve had some rough times but I guess I always still had structure in my life, that’s not there anymore
Dude I know EXACTLY where you’re at. I’ve been there more than once, for various reasons. The most important mantra you can repeat to yourself: “this, too, shall pass.” It’s always true, that’s the great thing! It might be a long and miserable ride before it happens (not to freak you out or anything, just being honest), but things will get turned around as long as you keep being an awesome dude and ignore the critics and douchebags you have in your life. When you get to that point, it really really sucks, and you feel like there’s no escape, but I promise you, there is. It just takes time, sometimes a lot of it. Hang in there buddy, you’re a cool motherfucker, you’ll do well!
Where are you in school by the way? I was wondering if you were still living at home, but you said that you’re not, so I assume you are in a college town? If you’re at a big, public university with tons of people, that could be part of the reason you’re feeling unhappy. I know when I was at Auburn, that was one of the lowest points I’ve been through.
I’m not very old, but I have seen an unusual amount of extremely trying times for someone my age, I think, and I definitely relate to your situation very easily. I have hit really low points for several different reasons, but they always pass. That’s the one thing that has held true; time is the best medicine. Corny, I know, but just surround yourself with good people, and you will do well. Best of luck to you my friend.

Does anyone else have a hard time not listening to a ton of Phish during the time that Phish is on tour?
^ Yeah, I’m in the same boat. Between tours, I listen to very little Phish, but during tour, it’s pretty much all I listen to. I always like to download the new shows and hear them the next day, just to hear how the band is progressing. And right now, I’m more than pleased!
All my music listening is severly reduced at the moment since I do most of it in my car and my radio/cd player is hosed. gonna cost bucks to fix/replace, and I just can’t deal with it yet.
our cable provider here in town is a company called Cablevision, and right now they’re involved in yet another impasse with one of the network stations they provide, Fox/WOR in NY. Nine months ago they were involved in the same thing with the Food Network and Home and Garden TV, claiming the networks wanted too much money.
I kind of sided with them last time, but now I’m seeing it as more their fault than the networks. Plus the fact that I’ve checked and no other local cable companies are having any problems with the same networks. So in the meantime, if I wante to watch the World Series this week, I would be out of luck.
If FIOS if were ready yet in my area, I would switch to them in a heartbeat, and multiple providers of these types of services should be a public option anyway.
FIOS is the shit…
