Type your thoughts (Part 1)

How is that not a good argument? I mean, the cigarette thing is stupid, as there are probably locals who do that, but loss of farming space and having wookiees pissing and shitting all over the place and fucking it up, I wouldn’t want that in my cornfield. Like the John Hartford song (Up On The Hill Where They Do The Boogie), “Some folks say that a hippie won’t steal, but I found three in my corn field”. But yeah, I think adding camping in that area could cause major problems for the already-disgruntled locals.

I hate to sound like an old man, but I understand where these residents are coming from. If I lived in a bucolic, peaceful farming community, I wouldn’t want 40k wooks running around trashing everything a few times a year. That would suck. Weird sidenote: a Google image search for East Troy, WI brings up a pretty cool picture of Phish playing on the second page.

I would go back to Alpine if I could camp on site. I really hope Phish plays the Gorge again next summer…now that is an ideal camping and concert situation.

I hope that this happens next year and it’s the last straw for the locals. Then I never have to worry about deciding whether of not to go back to that shit-hole (pun-intended).

^ Oh yeah…I could guarantee that this would be a one year FAILED experiment!!

The cable they provide with a new dvd player plays discs in grainy black and white. Seriously? You can’t include a $2.00 HDMI cable with your $170 dollar product so that it works when you get it home? Hacks.

I found out about a year ago that printers do not come with USB cables. Had to go back to the store to pick one up. Bullllllshit.

^

Zoot, you are always right on point with these pictures. Like that one in the “Warning” thread, that shit had me rolling on the floor. Where do you find this shit?

My body guards say he may be using The Google.

Justin Beiber was in town last night.

I was just driving dead bodies through downtown, and saw a group of 15 or so tweeners waiting to cross the street.

They honestly looked like they were in the midst of a walk-of-shame.

Glitter, Beiber shirts, stupid looks on their stupid faces.

And then I spit at them. :smiling_imp:

^Hahaha, that made me laugh, out loud. oh yaaa.
Saw Particle last nite @ the Mint in LA. Never been there before, very small butt awwesomely intimate, literally standing next to the band and they keep looking at you, shared some laughs, pretty funnny. Particle tore it up and we all got down!

^I like small butts!

Not Me!!!

Nice!! I’ve only seen them once since they switched up guitarists (great move, IMO)… and that was years ago. Seen Molitz with Lesh more than his own band lately, that needs to change!

^ Ya I’ve seen em like 4 times now over teh span of 6 years or so and 3 times they had a different guitarist!
heh, but they always seem to rock the house and bring teh heat. Love me some Molitz, seen him with a couple projects.

Hello, people.

Reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

I completely disagree. I thought they had an intense original sound with the 1st line-up. I saw them a few times in '03 and was very pleased with the intensity and face melt. Now they are much tamer. I liked Particle more when the only singing was through synthesizers. I still like them though. In 2006 at Dune Grass Festival they posted in their tour diary a photo of me holding my son up in front row so he could get an “audio baptism” . I guess the drummer liked my thinking and posted us. I had 6 or 8 drunk dudes make a half circle around us and protect us from any squishing. 4 songs were enough and we went back to where the other kids were slip sliding on cardboard to the jams.

This is my 400th post, most coming in the past few months. Thanks for being great OKP!
