Feckin awesome post Glenn! I agree 100% with everything you said. I try very hard to be a collector, but I am a scatterbrained, disorganized pothead, so it’s really tough sometimes. But I definitely agree; I would NEVER buy an E-book. The idea of a Kindle (Amazon.com thing that downloads books and you read them on it) is appalling to me. I absolutely MUST hold the book in my hands, turn the pages, feel the paper, see the coffee stains and smudges. All of that is part of reading a book to me. It’s the best when I get a book handed down to me that my dad bought when he was six or something. That book has seen some shit.
It is a huge bummer that everything seems so disposable, but I think that people will continue to support physical media… or at least I hope so. 
I mean, 75% of people use exclusively digital music?! I definitely use an iPod, quite extensively in fact (and I could not go without one due to the size of my Phish collection), but I would never just give up on CDs. I mean, I know CDs aren’t as analog as records, but they’re a physical medium still.
I’m forming a theory about McDonald’s breakfast bags being coffee scented. I HATE coffee so I never order it, but whenever I get a biscuit from there, my whole car and whatever place I take my biscuit to reeks like friggin coffee.
Can’t sleep again dammit. Had a really good night last night and ended up “crashing” at my friends place. I layed on her couch till about 9:00 AM and just decided to drive home. Its now almost 12 and still haven’t slept a wink. 
^I used to have that problem…then I stopped doing blow…every night. 
I have work to do, and a list of things to do around the house. Yet, the only thing I feel like doing is lying an my ass curled in a blanket. I blame winter…or something.
Nice, cold, wintry day here with snow flurries on and off. I’m relaxing in the warmth of my house in Asheville, but soon I’m gonna have to go back up to the mountain about 30 minutes outside of town where I’m house-sitting/dog-sitting for my friend who’s out of town. It’s a fucking sweet place with an amazing view, but the gas line is fucked up or something, so the heat doesn’t work. Apparently the propane company can’t come fix it until next week. So I’ve got a powerful space heater in the bedroom, where it counts, and it’s really not too bad. It’s gonna suck if it snows hard overnight though; that house is at the top of a really twisty, switchback-filled road that would be a nightmare in icy conditions. I swear I feel like I’ve already talked about this somewhere on the OKP…
I hate blow, so thats definitely not the problem I’m having.
^No alcohol and lots of ganja should fix that issue. Make sure it’s indica.

Things that should be free, to me at least: ganj, water (which essentially is free, but it still should be free … just cuz it is free doesn’t mean it’s off the should list), shelter, pizza, coffee.
I wouldn’t feel so bad paying for records and concert tickets and golf discs if I didn’t use that same stuff for food and bills.
How much did snow end up paying for such a service?
