Type your thoughts (Part 1)

I’ve heard of Ollabelle, heard they’re good. But I can’t remember from where. Good for them though, sounds like a grassroots way to circumvent the (fucking) industry whores. & who cares if he recoups some wine cost, no? It’s a crazy intimate setting. Would be helpful to be a fan first though, I imagine!

^Agreed, I was jus sayin… $3,000.00 is a good chunk of change no? For 1.5-2 hours of music give or take…

I’m just a phan, so I guess…

yeah, it’s one 90 minute set in the late afternoon on a Sunday, but as I said, could be fun.

if you got the $$, do it, why not, making memories is what life is all about!

$3000 for a traveling professional band is not a lot of money, really. You can’t put an hourly wage on something like that.

^Yeah, I was more or less looking at the 90 minute gig part assuming they were local and dissecting the costs this person is going to have (wine, eventual broken items in home and at least one person puking  )and I forgot about travel…

Yeah, it’s gotta be split up in so many ways, and I guarantee they’re not performing 40 hours in a given week. What band can? So you know, I think it’s kinda bold and definitely an admirable route.

They’re from Kalamazoo which is about an hour and a half west of lansing but more or less yeah. Now that they tour and fly and take their bus around, they feel local to me. I’d have seen them nye if i hadn’t seen phish.

LOL!! I agree about the retarded thing, I just can’t believe what I’m seeing lately. No generation is exempt either, it’s like civilization is OFF.

some intelligent ranting floating around here… ICC don’t be surprised by the little conservative lean you’re showing… like that ol sayin if you’re not liberal when ur 20 you don’t have a heart and if ur not conservative when ur 40… ish yaint got no brain… tho all that really says is 20 year olds have no brains. being 20 once i can attest to that… being 40 i can attest to that… but i do get sick of whiny little fuckers who don’t know how to work hard for something… especially when you turned the corner and worked hard for what you have… which doesn’t amount to much but you earned it dammit and some whinetard wants the rewards of hard work given to him or worse taken away from those who earned it for themselves.

the queen was quite beautiful when she was young… and regal… tho that goes without sayin she a freakin queen afterall.

its hard to be truly compassionate. true compassion is willing, more than willing, to inflict pain on the object of compassion to bring about maturity. very direct, cutting, sharp, nothing to blunt the blow. it wakes us up, like a splash of cold water to the face. the compassion that wants to candy coat things and help others “feel good” and “be fair” and not hurt anyones feelings just makes us soft and stupid. theres too much of this stupid compassion floating around liberal policies for me to get behind. the “occupy” movements just exemplify this attitude and politicians love to play on this feel good crap to get elected… or worse yet believe it. drives me nuts. the world isn’t fair. we can’t all be born a price, some people will never make it, some people don’t see its our own negativity and bad choices that get us into trouble, much easier to blame others when things go wrong, especially the rich and those we think have it all. much harder to be responsible for our own lives. its a social mental illness. much of it is driven by a impoverished state of mind… willing to take and accept hand outs instead turning the tables and being willing to give something back!

So, I don’t know if any of you are in to Korean spas, but I just got back from one of the best spas on earth. It is called King Spa & Sauna. You have to check out this website…this place is out of this world. Best $25 I have ever spent, I think.

^Some of those rooms look awfully scary to me, Matty.

Having a relaxing Sunday… sun’s out, sky is blue, and we’re almost to 30 degrees.

Sippin’ on my coffee, catching up on some interwebs, and then headed to a friends to watch Supercross. If anyone has CBS, the race will be on at noon ET and it’s sure to be a good one! I’ll be firmly planted in front of my tv with a few brews, some nugs, and ready for my man Ryan Dungey to kick some ass!

#5 Ryan Dungey

My new thing the last week or so has been talking to myself with a cockney accent.

Girl, you so crazy!!

I guess it’s not okay but let’s just saying that camping out in the streets and inconveniencing people who likely have little to do with it is not going to change it. And let’s be fair…they are just targetting folks who aren’t at fault…why aren’t there any “Occupy Congress” movements? I’m fine with those.

It’s laziness on their part since they obviously pulled that song from the GH album…so the mp3 or whatever has that album listed in that data and they don’t care to change it.

I doubt it but there a LOT of people who believe everything they read and hear because parents, schools and churches condition kids to not question things because kids who question things are harder to deal with than those who don’t. People have always been this way but now that there’s even more stupid drivel to read (and without fact-checking that websites and books don’t do while newspapers still do) so there’s more people believing stupid shit. They believe what TV and books tell them and those are more biased than ever.

Also, time for the Stevo Moment of the Month.

I think Joe Paterno thing is like the Island on Lost. For those that don’t know, on that show, there’s the character named Rose who has cancer and she’s given six months to live but when she ends up on the island she can just tell that the cancer is gone. So eventually her and her husband just decide to live on the island since it keeps her alive.

I think Joe Pa with football was the same way. He’s possibly had this health issue for a long time but somehow him being head coach and being on the football field on those Saturdays was keeping the cancer at bay. This explains why he never quit no matter how old he got and even if he was more of an overseer than an actual coach. This also explains why the assistants who likely wanted a promotion were okay with him staying as head coach since they knew it meant his life. Which means that board of directors who fired him as a PR decision likely killed off Joe Paterno. Yes, it all makes sense now…

Man, Republicans fucking love old, grey-haired, white dudes. They just can’t get enough of that shit!

If this one couldn’t beat him…

Maybe this one will!

^Let’s hope!
