Type your thoughts (Part 1)

YouTube, fb, google, yahoo, bing, any site that you choose or input information store all of your choices along with your IP address and then sells or uses your proclivities to market things to you.

Most of are able to disregard marketing on the web sites we visit. But the topics that we’ve already shown interest in are typically view, considered, and sometimes acted upon.

The real problem is, if it is preferable to keep the internet out of government control, to keep it as something “free” and “open”, these practices will probably need to be allowed as well.

As when you buy something, the motto has always been, let the buyer beware. The same should go for the things you are interested in on the internet.

^I figured as much… still pretty cool, IMO, to see some moe. up there

If you don’t mind it, cool, but there are other options. Just saw this on reddit:

Whoa! Google is obsessed with herpes!

I just wanna say I had an excellent Saturday.   Hope all you guys had just as great of a day.

I must have a pretty confusing search profile. Some weird combination of historical info, band bios, song lyrics, porn and video games.

Had a relaxing weekend…took an extra day off on Friday and did almost nothing except putting up some pictures and cleaning on Sunday. Got lots of sports-watchin’ and video-gamin’ in. This Golden Sun game for DS is fun.

Time to get sexy… :open_mouth:

60 Degrees in Chicago. Winter has been abandoned and I love it. We were so due for a mild winter.

Yeah, I was hoping we wouldn’t get a real snowfall all year but Sunday probably qualified for it…and the ice on Monday was awful since they seem to pick and chose which counties get to salt the roads just to keep people on their toes. But, ah yes…50 degrees and the snow is dying. DIE SNOW DIE!!

This sounds crazy, being from Chicago and all!

I beat Golden Sun 1 and Golden Sun 2. I loved those games. It’s a rare occurrence that a sequel can match it’s predecessor, especially when the it’s a game as good as the original Golden Sun. Amazing graphics back on the Gameboy Advance. The DS one looks pretty fun and I kind of want it. I don’t have a DS though :frowning:

^Yeah, I loved the first two GS too. It’s almost hard to call the second one a sequel since it’s really just a continuation of the first game. I kind of see them as one long game.

The funny thing is despite it being so long since a GS game came out (but with the same developer), this new DS plays EXACTLY like the original. Same gameplay, style of dungeons, same systems…almost nothing is different…and in a good way. Lots of references to the first game too. Check it out if you can get a cheap DS…they’ll probably be dropping in price with the 3DS out anyway.

And i just witnessed the ugliest basketball game ever. I’ll let you all guess which one.

Wait DS discussions, really? Is there a gaming section for this shit? LOL

^

It’s the crazy “type your thoughts” thread!! If you’re thinking about the DS, then it applies, right?

Touche… I guess…

:problem:

"I’d like to be pimps from Oakland or cowboys from Arizona but it’s not Halloween. Grow up Peter Pan, Count Chocula. "

The snuggle laundry detergent teddy bear on those commercials still creeps the shit out of me…think I had a bad dream as a kid.

I was also scared to death of ET

I’m reading Bill Bruford’s autobiography, finding it really inspiring. Also find myself playing a bunch of prog records, dug out some old King Crimson mix tapes I have …

Today is Rush day, supposedly. Got Pandora playing me “La Villa Strangiato” as covered by Steve Morse.

Have a HUGE interview with Steve Howe printed to read at lunchbreak in a few!
