I didn’t realize it was that often but I’m sorry, I do get sick of so many people trying to bash today’s society like we’re SO horrible. There’s too much of this fantasy thinking that everything was SO great “back in the day” and it’s just not true. Crime is less today than it’s ever been, people have better health than ever, people are living longer, regulation of bad foods is better, water quality is better, air quality is better, pollution is the lowest it’s been in decades, overall security is dramatically improved (go look at how many of these attacks get STOPPED that we never heard about), protection against fraud is improved…all of these things we take for granted is so much better.
And because one or a couple nutjobs decide to hurt some folks, suddenly ALL of that is meaningless and everything is worse? I’m sorry but I don’t buy it. These types of attacks have been going on for as long as bombs have existed and even before that were done via other means. It’s going to happen and it’s never going to stop because it can’t be stopped. But don’t be annoyed because I refuse to piss on the society we have because of a few bad eggs.

And, while you make some very valid points, (not letting a few bad eggs ruin it) and I agree with them, we are living in some horrible times, we’re just more immune to it now, as the social media world we live in is so saturated, I think we view it differently then we did in the 80’s, 70’s or 20’s…
