Umphrey’s McGee - Live at the Murat, 4/6 & 7/2007
Wow, this is a fine, well done cd set. If any of you are into Umphrey’s, this is a MUST have! Top notch multi track recording too! 
Indeed. A kick ass release. I was actually at the show in St. Louis which was the night before these two shows. If you want to hear something even better, check that show out.
Anyway, anyone who doesn’t like Umphrey’s, listen to Live at the Murat.
I posted this on the “what else are you listening to” thread, but I just got this. I’d never heard a lick of Ump and they were coming to town on December 1st so I was in a music store buying something else and I figured I’d check to see if they have a live album so I could check them out. Obviously, there was the Murat album and I grabbed it. I’ve listened to it every night since and I love it. I love the variety of composed jams that they wind together…not knowing any of the band’s songs makes it where I couldn’t tell if they were going into a new song or not.
Needless to say, I grabbed myself a ticket for that Dec 1st show a few days later. I may look for more of their albums to learn some songs before I go. I’m officially hooked.

Last years was great, with a horn section and a crazy pink floyd green laser that sent me to outer space.
