Love to see this thread go up…I consider them the best band going right now. I know I know bold statement, but I’ve been into these guys for a long time. My first show was 2/25/00 and have hit them up hard. Going to school at IU certainly helped as they frequented Bloomington at least once a month in the early days.

On a side note they are coming out with a new album soon. There first two albums are out of circulation and go for hundreds of dollars on ebay. I managed to score their first album: Greatest Hits Volum 3, but I’m still seeking their second album: Songs for Older Women. Anyone have a copy or know where to get one I would love to know.

I love the UMPS. I’ve seen a lot of them and I just think they are the bees knees. Sickest band ever.

fuck i need to see them. jaco hasn’t torn my face off in a live setting in at least two years. yeah it’s time.

by the way, i really, awfully, superduper sincerely love the last to studio albums, Safety in Numbers and The Bottom Half. this, i believe, is where they hit thier studio stride.

I came close to seeing them. I bought their latest live album and liked it a lot and they were in town. But, of course, there were some sweet Bowl Games on that night so I ended up staying in and watching those. From what i’ve heard on CD, they’re quite good.

Man I got wayyyy too fucking drunk last night. I got kicked out for biting a couple people, walked around, went back in, got re-kicked out. I should be in fucking jail. For real. They’ve cracked down hardcore on underage drinking this year. I’m soooo lucky. I feel like shit.

Got too drunk to really enjoy the music the right way, and that I’m fucking pissed about.

I agree with Justin. The Echo Project show sounded great from the blanket I had no energy to get off of. I’ve never been a huge fan of them, but it definitely sounded like a good one. An ex bought Anchor Drops when it came out and that’s really the only UM I’ve been exposed to. I hated that entire album except for In The Kitchen. After Echo though, I’d probably see them again if they were somewhere close.
