Anyone got ant steller plans for their sweeties?
As a girl, I really like the idea of Valentine’s Day, but at the same time I do kind of recognize the fact that it’s sort of a scam for the greeting card and candy companies to rake in more dough.
But if it takes a national holiday to get your man to be romantic for one FREAKIN day out of the 365… then so be it. Bring on the flowers, candy, balloons, cd’s, etc…

Coming from a women moma, what is it that you appreciate the most on Valentine’s day and what the majority like/dislike?
I saw some women on the Today show spewing a whole bunch of bullshit at me about what to do and what not to do. I wasn’t really paying attention, but wouldn’t believe her either way.

Ok… As a woman I appreciate the effort the most…it’s not really about the thing thats given. With that being said though…don’t give her a tire iron in the thoughts that it’s romantic for her to be able to change her tire in a jam… LOL
Don’t just give your lady the token chocolates, lingerie, and flowers, unless she’s a complete freak about those types of things every other day of the year. Take the time to recall what she really likes to do and the things that she buys herself.
For instance… I love massages and spa treatments. Although I love it… I very rarley ever treat myself to those things, and Brian knows that. I also am very particular about all of my cosmetics and he knows exactly where I go to get everything that i buy. He’s got a built in idea of what to get me, just from paying attention to the things that he knows I enjoy…so he never has to go to Walgreens the day of to get that tacky velvet box of russell stovers chocolates and a bear that says " I LOVE YOU" on it.
If he did…i’d kill him… LOL
So if she likes a certain type of food…take her out for a nice dinner OR make her dinner!
If she’s into lingerie, take the time to look in her drawer and find out her sizes and the color and types of things that she’s picked out for herself…and where they’re from. If she reads, find a book that you think she would enjoy and write a sweet note inside of it. Just basically listen to what she says she likes and give accordingly…don’t go the generic route.
any genuine attempt at making her happy should be returned in like… and she’ll probably reward you…if ya know what I mean. LOL

Valentines Day is always pretty depressing for me. All day I think about the lack of womanly love in my life. Don’t feel sorry for me though, I bring it upon myself.

^I hear you. This is the first Valentine’s day that I haven’t been single in a long time. It’s kind of a drag if you’re single, but that just makes it even more special when you aren’t.
I’m stoked, 'cause all of my girl’s classes got cancelled on tuesday. Since we have the whole day, we’ll probably put on some boots, pack up the dog and a few joints and go play in the woods… try and find a good spot to make love in the sunshine. She worships chocolate like a religion, so I’ll probably have to get her some of that too. Probably make something delicious for dinner and sing her a couple of songs… I do better at that kind of shit if I don’t plan it too much. The highlight of the day will definately be going and getting all muddy in the woods though.

Erin doesn’t really go for all the sappy typical valentines day shit…thank god, because I can’t afford any of it this year anyway…I’m getting her a ticket to Waka, so that should count as all the presents I need to get her for a little while…I still don’t know how I will get down there, but that’s not the issue right now…
I thinking a case of cheap beer and shagging 'til dawn should do the trick.

Valentine’s Day 2004 was when my dad saw my car at a motel when I had told my parents I was going to be at my friend’s apartment for the night. So that’s when they found out about my first girlfriend, who I met online and was 8 years older than me.
Aaanyway, I loathe Valentine’s Day with a passion. Not that I haven’t done romantic things for my girlfriends on it, but I tend to be the kind of guy who does supremely romantic things every so often anyway. I plan on spending my Valentine’s Day evening as drunk as possible.
