I think that we should maybe think of starting vines here on the Oh Kee Pa. One with audio one for dvds non phish stuff like that. Then more people could get dvds and music out to each other. Just to make this more like a community :smiley: But it is just a suggestion.

im for it. i’v never been in any sort of vine, tree thing, just getting shows off bt.etree or furthurnet for free, and would really like to join if one started.

Good idea… I have no prior knowledge of Vines, how can we set one/some up?

First everyone needs to have a dvd burner to participate.

A vine is a growing chain of people that receive and send shows using snail mail. The only cost to participants is the price of postage (and perhaps a new bubble mailer if needed). It all starts with a Vine Seeder.

This is a generous person who wants to share a show with others without getting anything in return other than good karma. Anyone can seed a vine.

Seed the vine by starting a post/thread i.e
Phish 10.31.98 3 disk DVD+R

After this start a list like 10 to 20 on a vine to start and see how it works. Give either your e mail address or just the oh kee pa name whatever the mods want to do. i.e.
1.foampiper
2.Cletus Awreetus-Awrightus
3.famusmockingbird
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
and so on. Then I just get the info of the guy below me his address and I send the disk out to him in a bubbler mail. Then when he/she gets it they get the info of the person below them and send the disk to them. Try to burn and send them in one or two days to keep the vine going. Thats about it.

Then also those who can not get in the vine from not having a dvd burner then people can b&p them

I have never been part of a vine. I would gladly start one. Once I get 12/31/95 back from Fluffy, I can start that.

Or maybe I can start something before hand? Requests anyone? Check my DVD thread.

oh yeah…and i would participate in said vine…lay it on me…let me know what needs to be done.

If I get it today, I can probably send it out Monday or Tuesday.
But, if I don’t get it today, it won’t come until Mon, so I won’t be able to send it until Wed.

Don’t worry about it man. Whenever you get it, you get it… I know how the PO works.

what happens if you’re the last person on the vine? i’m lucky? or should i then be obligated to start a new vine for that DVD/CD? as to offset the fact that i got a show without paying postage.
