i see the connection, at least in both peoples mentality that (for whatever their personal reasoning might be) human life is disposable. at least Cho had the common decency to do the world a favor and off himself.

as far as stricter gun control goes…it seems the majority of we as a nation won’t go for it. we’re not evolved enough yet to not kill eachother. it’s not time yet in the bigger picture sense of the word. maybe it never will be, at least as long as The Fear Of Everything is used as mass crowd control by the powers that be. c’est la vie.

Iraqi Dead May Total 600,000, Study Says

A boy at his father

zoot, 500,000 civillians died in Iraq under the Clinton administration. They were almost all women and children too. Madeline Albright even attested that these numbers are accurate.

http://www.commondreams.org/headlines/072100-03.htm

You may try to argue that the article says UN and not US sanctions, but who really runs the UN?

there would be no civil war there if the united states hadn’t attacked man, THERE ARE ALOT MORE REPORTS THAN THE ONE I POSTED, NOT TO MENTION THE SANCTIONS OF CLINTON that killed 500k+ people, so let’s see 600K + 500K = 1.1 million dead directly because of the USA and its actions. Stop making excuses for the deaths of innocents, pretty please, there is no justification, America is not the good guy anymore. 1.1 million dead and our tax dollars funded every drop of blood, we are aiding an abedding these murders with our money, that’s a fact. We need to wake up before more die. Saddam was given the weapons to kill soo many people by Reagan, so let’s see, 600K from saddam using weapons given to him by USA + 500K from Clintons sanctions + 600K because of the USA’S invasion= 1.7 million dead directly because the leaders of the usa and the tax paying public doesn’t give a flying fuck. 1.7 million dead?, where am I Germany circa 1941?

bush=cho

if the usa collectively killed 1.7 million people is it any wonder a citizen killed 32? I know you want to deny the truth, hell so do I, it’s not easy to sleep at night or watch the NBA playoffs if this is true, but it is. TELL A FRIEND

don’t take this personally zoot, I do not want to offend you.

thnkfrstpal, are you thinking first before you say this stuff? Bush = Cho is a pretty politically ignorant thing to say. Now I for one do not support our actions in Iraq, but to compare a mentally unstable murderer and our incompetent leader is just childish. If your common link is that they’ve both killed people…well yeah… Its cool to hate bush and all, its just crazy to me when people associate all that is evil to Bush just for the sake of doing it.

Also thinkfrst, you talk as if every other country’s shit doesn’t stink. I’m not even close to conservative, as I’m a really liberal dude, but your ideas have mostly seemed like conspiracy theories to me, and I don’t think are very accurate realistically. If I’m missing something, please do explain.

no problem friend, please go look into my statements yourself, read, read, and read, somemore man, it’s all out there for you, and it’s all 100% true, I understand bush=cho is scary, but to be truthful it’s more for effect. I’m sure once you have read about the facts I have posed to you, you will realize that it’s ALL 100% true man, seriously. go look it all up, spend two weeks researching. pretty please.

^dude, you are so dramatic ::slight_smile: Are you sure that’s not a pic of you in your avatar? :stuck_out_tongue:

::runs away before being hit by flames::

signed, severly politically incorrect poster nutbag ;D

Why is thnkfstpal back?

I thought he was banned?

Shouldn’t that inclde any other name he decides to make and keep coming back?

lol, man. You are a freaking weirdo.

OK before we start totally flaming thnkfsrt we have to honor and acknowledge the right to his thoughts and opinions. Where I feel he is being dramatic like a little girl I am in no way degrading women. Women are wonderful and equal, albeit different, to men. Men different than women. And we all love to take a bath, preferably naked, together, with lots and lots of bubbles.

ha!

I think we can state our opinions and beliefs without getting so emotional and dramatic. Doing so helps to facilitate progress. Thnkfrst stirs up the debate with a bit of flair but he is now and always welcome in these forums in my book…

I just can’t believe anybody would type what I quoted, and be serious about it. “pretty please?” LOL.

sure he can have his opinion. Oh wait, no, he was banned.

I’m keepin it breezy, I didn’t say anyone was dumb or stupid or anything. I just wanted to pose some questions for people that may or may not know the truth.

question 1. How many people, total, have died in Iraq since our invasion?
2. How come the flags of our nation are not flown at half mass everyday?
3. VT tragedy seen in media and victims seen in media, how come we have seen no victims from the wars on our TV’s, I mean there’s plenty of fallen soldiers everyday or innocent Iraqi people to show.
4. How come our country values our fallen more than ALL fallen?
5. Who gave the weapons to Saddam in the first place to commit those horrible murders?
6. What’s the difference between the way the president thinks about killing and the way CHO thinks about killing according to his videos?
7. How come it’s OK to joke about bombing Iran? if CHO joked about bombing the school, that wouldn’t be funny, so why is it funny when people joke about bombing Iran?
8. How many people did actually die because of the sanctions against Iraq under the clinton administration?
9. Why does the VT rampage get alot of attention, but the inner citys, who fight against multiple CHO’S EVERYDAY get no attention? seriously why?

If any of you will take some time out of your busy day and answer these questions for me I would be much oh so thankful, believe me, I don’t want to believe the answers I have found. HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHAT you know that I don’t, please.

are you being mean? is being sooooo dramatic a bad thing in your opinion? maybe I should be an actor, oh, that’s right, I have been LOL…

I am a bit dramatic, and very passionate about LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. WE THE PEOPLE, all the way.

what’s wrong with pretty please?

nothing wrong, I guess.

It just made me laugh. You asked everyone to research a topic for two weeks, and then said “pretty please.”

And quit triple posting. Get your thoughts in order and do it all in one post.

If you don’t like the United States and what it is doing… I suggest getting out.

I think Ian is looking for a roommate.

I’ll take the time.

  1. 600,000 + according to Gilbert Burnham and his team. This is so far - in my opinion - the most accurate survey of the dead in Iraq. Burnham’s methods seem more thorough than anyone else making an estimate.

  2. Why would a flag be flown at half mass - how indeed do you subtract half of a flag’s mass? Joke about spelling aside - flags are generally flown at half mast when someone known to the flag-flyer has died. therefore in the USA I would suggest that some flag is flown at half-mast everyday - just not all of them. We here in the UK generally don’t fly as many flags.

  3. The media cover unusual, unique and precedent-setting stories. The VT tragedy was in many ways unique and so deemed newsworthy. Soldiers and civilians dying in Iraq is seen as (sadly) commonplace, therefore no to little media coverage.

  4. We as humans find it easier to empathise with those like us. Therefore it is far easier to empathise with the one guy down the street who dies rather than 100 in a far off land. This is not an American viewpoint - many people from all nations do this.

  5. The USA and to a lesser extent other developed nations. Of course to prevent this from happening again, thousands of honest upstanding factory workers employed by arms manufacturers would lose their jobs - this would damage lives and in some places whole towns and communities. This is why politicians are so adverse to such dramtaic moves.

  6. I’m no fan of Bush but I will give him this - he is sane. His views and actions may be undesirable to most of us but I honestly believes he does what he does because of his morality. And lets not forget that he was voted in democratically which means that a large number of people agree with him too. Cho was clinically insane and his actions defy any reason.

  7. Who said it was okay to joke about bombing Iran? It isn’t okay in my books.

  8. I have no accurate answer for this. Sorry, but 8 out of 9 ain’t bad, right? Have you checked Wikipedia?

  9. Well, the inner-cities do not fight against Multiple Cho’s everyday. This kind of comment seems to me like some classist propoganda. If someone in the inner-cities killed 32 people in one day, I’m sure it would gain just as much media coverage as the VT killings. Maybe you question why this incident gets more news coverage than the shootings, drive-bys etc of the inner-cities and to that I would guide you back to answer 3. Sadly the killing in the inner-cities are now so commonplace that they are not deemed news worthy. I don 't like it either.

let’s keep it breezy Post Hiatus, don’t tell me what to do pretty please, sorry for the triple post though. WILLBREATHES, when did I say I did not like the USA?, I just don’t think the government is doing the will of the people, If the people of this country had all the facts and still told our elected representatives to go boldy killing, then I would consider leaving, I just don’t believe, given the facts, that the american people would concur with that course of action.

I LOVE THE USA, THAT’S WHY I’M TRYING TO MAKE IT BETTER, make it more like the way JEFFERSON, LINCOLN, EISENHOWER ENVISIONED IT. Do you know WILLBREATHES how they in fact envisioned our country? doesn’t that interest you in the slightest? AMERICAN HISTORY.
