Also, are the alcohol rules really enforced? In the letter I got it said that underage drinking is strictly prohibited, and you must obtain a legal age wristband. I can’t imagine it’s too tough to find someone to get one for you though.

You only need the wrist band if you actually want to buy beer… from an authorized vendor.

Apparantly my buddy has decided to back out because he wants to be in town for some chick’s birthday. I already bought tickets, but I’m really unsure of going to a festival alone. I have no clue what to do, none of my other friends want to go or can get time off work to go. So I can either go alone or waste $130. What do I do? Help me OKP!
your pretty much in the same predicament as me. I was hoping some of the other OKP ppl from last year were gonna come, then no one was able to and I already had my ticket and plane ticket… But i don’t mind rollin on my own as long we’ve got base camp. You should go, it’ll be lots of fun!

^yay! im flying into KCI on Wednesday night and then heading over to the pregame at the Bottleneck and then they are letting people in at midnight.

I guess they aren’t letting people in at midnight, just letting them into line. Gates open at 8 though.
I believe last year I sat in line for approximately 3.5-4 hours.
I miss teh Waka.
I had a blast. Ended up in the Equinox campground, which was great because we had a short walk to the stages. My favorite act was definately Lotus, and getting to see over 3 hours of them on Saturday was a highlight. Yonder was lots of fun, but we slept through their set on Saturday, but that allowed us to catch more Lotus. Panic was a blast, as was Claypool even though he played for less then an hour. There is really too much else to mention so I’ll just say it was a freaking blast.
Wakarusa kicked ass this year! I had a great time. I’ll write my highlights when I get my face back.
