Toubab Krewe is awesome! My band played in the lobby upstairs before they played in Knoxville. Cool guys. Talked to a couple of them after the show.
Go check 'em out. They are really unique. Their composed drumming blew my mind! Very elaborate. They use a lot of African instruments. I believe they are from Asheville.

I saw Lotus late night two years ago at Wakarusa…
All I remember were a ton of green lights and lazers filling up a tent.
Maybe some purple too.

will was in a different realm. I saw him snake dance thorugh the crowd during the first set of Disco Biscuits, and that was the LAST I SAW OF HIM until the next morning. He snaked off with this huge perma grin, heading for the front.

Delta Nove confirmed. This band is SICK! Go see 'em. I jammed with them in a Cheese lot last year and hung out with them after their show.
I certainly enjoyed last year’s WAKA, but I don’t think I will be making it this year. I figured out I’m more of an “attend 1 show and have fun” than a “attend several shows while sleeping on the ground at night and sweating my balls off during the day” kind of guy. Not that I have anything against anyone who is. It’s just not me.
I’m sleeping elevated this year on a large pile of money with many naked women…
But that’s how I roll!
