Forbin’s is my favorite Gamehenge song. I know it doesn’t jam and it doesn’t really change except in terms of sometimes they get the chord changes wrong, but who cares, it is pure energy and pure pholklore type stuff.

Just because you don’t like Col. Forbins doesn’t mean that the only reason that other people like it is because it’s rare. I purposefully throw on shows with Col. Forbins quite frequently, so it is not rare in my head. It’s always been one of my favorite songs, and the thrid show I ever downloaded had a Forbin’s, so I didn’t even know it was rare at the time.
And as for Booz’s comment that this song is garbage musically, well that’s just laughable. Llama is one of Phish’s simplest songs, it’s just fast, that’s all. Forbins has many dynamic changes, rhythmic changes, and amazing lyrics. There is nothing not to love about Forbins.

I didn’t even really know Forbin’s was considered rare and it’s long been one of my very favorites. I got to see at least three Forbins that I remember, so whatever.

No seriously I like Forbins, really. I just like Llama better. I like when phish played songs like llama and rift at a blistering pace and completely NAILED them.
After a poor season and then a conference tournament win Forbin’s is on a role. the seeding here is off but whatever! Sorry llama i love ya, but!
Forbin’s… i never knew ye in person, but any song that delivers a Gamehenge story… sez it all.
