…the following alcohols? Cut and paste if you want. I know, you mix a lot of different drinks with all of these, but what’s your favorite?

Vodka - Ceasers (Bloody Mary’s to most Americans, but with Clamato instead of Tomato juice…I won’t even go into it).

Gin - Club soda with a twist of lemon

Rum - Eggnog when it’s in season is by far my favorite, otherwise just Coke.

Bourbon/Tennesee Whisky - I like a good Whiskey Sour.

Tequila - straight

Scotch - Don’t you dare.

I thought I’d be able to think of more…oh well, it’s a start.

Lately I’ve been on a serious Vodka Screw-up tear, usually Smirnoff or regular Stoli

Its 50-60% Vodka (after cup is nearly full of ice), 30-40% Orange Juice, and whatever percentage is left of 7up or some kind of citrus soda. Basically a screwdriver with a bit of 7up. Its funny because I’ve never liked screwdrivers, but screw-ups get me off big-time.

I don’t really drink Gin ever.

Same thing with rum, but if I have to its a simple Rum/Coke

I used to drink a lot of whiskey. Not so much anymore, but when I did it was usually Coke or better yet Diet Coke. Whiskey sours are aight too.

Tequila is a rare treat…but shots have a high potential to make me immediately sick, so I prefer margaritas.

Vodka - Red bull

Gin - not a big gin drinker, but G & T’s are good

Rum - Rum and Coke rules!

Bourbon/Tennesee Whisky - Whiskey Sours for me too

Tequila - Margaritas!

Scotch - Diet coke tastes good with this too, im a wuss when it comes to liquor.

Vodka - White Russians!!!

Gin - I’m not a big gin drinker either. In fact, it’s my least favorite liquor. But I do like gin screwdrivers. I don’t know what those are really called.

Rum - Rum and Coke does rule. I like rum straight though usually. Especially the coconut stuff.

Bourbon/Tennesee Whisky - Straight! Or with Diet Coke

Tequila - Margies or straight

Scotch - Gotta drink scotch on the rocks.

Gin - never drank it

Rum - Coke

Whiskey - Coke or a little bit of water

Tequilla - straight shots, yo

Scotch - never drank it

Whiskey was my biggest vice by far.

my favorits as a bartender

1.Vodka - at my place we call it a QM Ketel, soda, splash cran splash grapefruit juice (these things really go down smooth I have most of my drunky custys hooked on em
2. Rum - Skippers grog (our signiture screwerupper) - Mt Gay, Cruzan Coconut rum, dark creme de coco, splash of bitters, splash grenadine, splash roses lime, OJ, Pineapple juice, shake it up and drop a floater of Goslings on top
runner up - Dark n stormys , goslings and ginger beer
3. Gin - Saphire , chambord and fresh grapefruit juice
4. Tequila - I am a traditionalist, drink it straight or whip up a margerita
5. Scotch - I dont care for it but every guy over 80 that comes in my pace drinks it straight or just with a splash of soda (seems to work for em)
6. Tennesee whisky - straight out of the bottle
6. Bourbon - ginger ale.

I’m very simple with my mixed drinks. I don’t get too complicated.

Vodka - I’m not much of a vodka fan (psst…it’s a chick liquor) but if I did, it would be Sprite…gotta have a light colored pop. Maybe it’s me but vodka and OJ is disgusting.

Gin - Tonic. Or, if I’m at a Phish show, it’s Gin and Juice so they play their big hit.

Rum - Coke. Though to me, rum is a pathetic version of whiskey

Bourbon/Tennesee Whisky - Coke as well. The drink of choice.

Tequila - I’d mix a trip to the bathroom. Any drink that is so terrible that you have to lick salt to numb your tongue before you drink it, is not for me. If I wanted to just get hammered and drink something terrible I’d just do straight shots of Moonshine…at least it has more alcohol (which I HAVE done, by the way…BAAAAD idea).

Scotch - Eh. Never had it.

That reminds me…moonshine is some hard core stuff. At least the stuff I’ve had. I’ve gotten some from a friend of a friend on a couple of a occasions (a few years ago). Came in mason jars and everything.

^Yeah, the stuff I had was in a jar too. A friend had some cousin down South who they got it from. I can’t imagine any situation where I’d find it reasonable to drink that stuff again.

wow, I sometimes forget how rare it is for others that do not live in the South to find moonshine. I looooove Moonshine. I wish I had some. It usually always comes in mason jars or big gallon glass jugs.

I thought about this too, though not as good as white russians, vodka and cream soda is not bad at all!

hahaha…yeah no shit.

Whiskey; Jameson and a shot glass. it’s all you need.

Scotch; recently had a shot Johnny Walker Blue. i never drink scotch but when and if i ever do, this will suffice.

i’m a bartender, too… but i’m a simple kinda gal…

Vodka - never really liked it, honestly… i dig most shots with vodka… OR boilermakers :o

Gin - & tonic with LIMES… ugh, the death of me, but i LOVE gin.

Rum - coke… or marylin monroes… mostly juices, rum&vodka…

Bourbon/Tennesee Whisky - straight, neat, with water. bourbon has NEVER steered me wrong.

Tequila - straight. damn right. margaritas are alright here and there

Scotch - neat. i really dig mr. walker, on the rocks.

scoth/whiskey- car bombs, yum.

midori sours are ok, too…

bailey’s and the like- coffee

JAGER. shot/red headed sluts/boms. i can drink this anytime/anyway/any temperature.

i love a good shiraz, pinot grigo, plum wine, or sake, too :slight_smile:

oh oh, and 'shine fruit. mmmhmm, can’t beat eastern KY moonshine.

I never mixed anything WITH coffee, but I used it as a chaser if I was drinking some particularly potent/foul tasting spirits.

Vodka - all time favorite has to be none other than Jello :D…love me some jello shooters and I also like peach schnapps and cranberry juice, a shooter also known as a Woo-Woo. As for a drink though my good ol’ standby is club soda, but the vodka has to be Absolut Pomegranate… add in a little splash of maraschino cherry juice and it looks like you’re drinking raspberry ginger ale. :slight_smile:

Gin - Lime and Ginger Ale - aka a Dragonfly

Rum - AHHH…my favorite liquor of all time… this is a toughie but I’d say nothing is better with rum than coco lopez cream of coconut, a banana, a lot of ice and a blender… that will make you the best pina colada EVER…a very close second is all the ingredients for a mojito.

Bourbon/Tennesee Whisky - water… and a small amount of ice…nothing else.

Tequila - straight, but it has to be Patron… and instead of a lime, use an orange sprinkled with cinnamon

Scotch - not a damn thang…

Vodka- used to do the OJ thing before high school. Can’t stand the stuff anymore.

Gin- the tonic.

Rum- Coke. Too sweet for me though.

Whiskey/Bourbon- Soda water/straight.

Tequila- Straight. Patron.

Scotch- Straight, but I definitely am not a drinker of this. An old roomate of mine was… and I had my fair share with him on many occasions.

I am a fan of the beers. Having a Springboard Spring Seasonal as I type :slight_smile:

i rarely ever drink liquor. I’m a pretty exclusively beer man but sometimes when people are making cocktails i will join in with them and seize the day. Here are some of my favorites…

Vodka - don’t even touch it. Hands down my least favorite and i’ll only drink it if its involved in some kind of weird cocktail somebody makes that comes out awesome.

Gin - ginger ale

Rum - Root beer or cream soda. That was my first alcoholic beverage and i still remember it as being the best mixer.

Whiskey/Bourbon - ginger ale. My friend turned me on to this on NYE this past year and we did it again before the Radiohead show the other night and it really works pretty good. But really if i’m drinking whiskey at this point its probably straight from the bottle and i’m probably in the woods somewhere.

Tequila - margaritas are good, whatever that all consists of.

but like i said, these are all rarities. I’ll take a good beer over any of them and just chill.
