RIP, Freddie Hubbard
the version of ‘Run Like Hell’ off of that release is simply amazing. very very high-energy.
the wall is my #2 alltime favorite album behind abbey road. i’m currently kinda cold on the floyd though. i’ve been more into bands that i’ve always put off listening to, such as Mr. Bungle and The Residents
speaking of mr. bungle, now playing:

^Nice … wonder whatever happened to my copy of that. I had a hard time actually getting into it, even though I really liked it. If that makes sense.
^^The Wall rules! So does Abbey Road … I would say that The Beatles white album is my favorite album ever and that The Wall is my favorite of all Floyd albums. How bout that, right?
makes perfect sense. one of my all-time favorite bands, They Might Be Giants, i found difficult to like @ first but now i live by them
^dude me too … huge TMBG fan. I don’t have the latest one yet though. But The Spine & Spine Surfs Alone are great.

And now…

and…

^Sounds AMAZING on vinyl, particularly that version of “Drown In My Own Tears”, which you can stream here:

– “When I Die” is an instrumental rendition of the song, originally performed by the band Motherlode. It is the title track from an album that Motherlode released in 1969 on the Kama Sutra label. Written by band members William “Smitty” Smith and Steve Kennedy, it was a hit single and spent some time in the Top 20.
– Based on currently available information it appears this is one of two times LOM performed “When I Die” at a show.

raging bisco show… def DL this if you can tolerate
i’ve heard nothing but good things about that show. i’ll probably listen to it later this afternoon.
tvm -> dribble looks narsty
on tVM>Dribble right as we speak, the 4 minute block, 2 mins before segue, 2 mins after
I wasnt standing still at all this show, first set seemed like a mindfuck, but the second set was pure untz.
realized with the inverted abraxas the first set is a Palindrome, aside from killing11, i’m pretty sure that last RLH jam had some Crix elements in it, gonna give another listen later today
the I-Man was so fucking great… and of course, Highwire encore

^how’s aboot this reissue master plan they’ve got coming up?
first up is Ten this spring with extra new mixes, bonus tracks, vinyl pressings of archived shows, replicas of the original PJ demo tape and an extended DVD of that MTV Unplugged special.
gonna be sick, but probably way out of my price range.
I only saw the Unplugged show once… maybe twice in bits and pieces…
But all I remember is “Porch” was quite rawkous.
I’m not one to argue, but I don’t think you can really compare STS9 and Bisco, and if you must, STS9 is definitely who I’d rather listen to any day. Don’t get me wrong though I’m going to try to hit up the Biscuits’ two night run in Burlington.

Not the self-titled release, mind you - there’s never even been one anyway!
I’m listening to the songs they recorded and performed exclusively from the years 1965 to 2005. Only the official releases and the unofficial stuff too. Just the studio and live stuff though.
Keller’s “Breathe” with SCI. “Stupid Questions” was the first Keller song that ever graced my ears.
