Dude, Animal Collective are the greatest (other than Phish). If you like Feels, I’d also recommend Sung Tongs to see more of their acoustic, folky stuff. However, my favorite might be Strawberry Jam. There’s also a nice batch of their shows for download on the archive.

This show has been available several times on DIME, and is currently available in its entirety here dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta … 178302.The version I am uploading is from mint condition vinyl, which is a differnt source from the other version (which is tape). There has also been another vinyl version of part of this show uploaded to DIME a couple of years ago titled “All Across the Havens”. I do not know what songs were included on that bootleg, however.
This was taken from vinyl that had only been played a couple of times, and then stored away for 35 years. I thought this was worth converting and posting, although I am sure most EJ fans already have some version of this widely available show.
The Band:
Elton John- Piano/Vocals
Davey Johnstone- Guitars/Vocals
Dee Murray- Bass/Vocals
Nigel Olsson- Drums/Vocals
Ray Cooper- Percussion
Muscle Shoals Horns
The Songs:
Side A
Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding
Candle in the Wind
Grimsby
Side B
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Grey Seal
Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me (Which is cut a little short)
Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting
Side C
Rocket Man
High Flying Bird
Burn Down the Mission
The Bitch is Back
Side D
Daniel
Bennie and the Jets
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds
I Saw Her Standing There
Honky Cat (fades out 2/3 through)
I realize I listen to the same sh!t all the time. Maybe I like it that way.
Seriously though, this is an album I think many Phish fans would enjoy, and which I imagine is also way off the radar for a lot of us. If this were a classroom, I’d be all, “raise your hand if you’re familiar with this puppy.”
