^Holy shit, Dan, this album takes me back. Used to play the shit out of it at college along with a bunch of Brubeck, Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery et al. Is this one of your dad’s vinyls or did you discover this on your own?
^ That one’s all me. I’m guessing you’re also familiar with Jazz Samba? My cousin’s drum teacher played on that record as well as few other Charlie Byrd albums. Also, I was listening to that^^ while working on a school project on Latin Jazz.

I think Phish likes this band…
^i just came in here to post that i am currently giving “Waiting for Columbus” its inaugural spin in my rotation.
its some good fun boogie party time rock n roll that’s for sure.
groovy.
as far as the album itself goes I’m having trouble ranking it amongst the White Album, Quadrophenia, Remain in Light and Exile on Main Street but it sounds like it would make for a really fun Phish set, with the only draw back being its obscurity.
I am giving Gogol Bordello a listen. I saw them when they were on tour with primus but i had to promptly leave the crowed do to some unforeseen and intense situation.

^I started my day with this one. Spinal Meningitis is such a scary song. ![]()
And now I’m listening to this. Great minds think alike!

Folks, if you like music, especially music with SOUL and feeling in it, there is not much out there that is better than this. Steve Earle sings “high risk, low-tech” bluegrass, “one mic, no shit” as he calls it, with the Del McCoury Band, arguably the best bluegrass band around right now. Absolutely, indescribably amazing music. It will make you tear up and jump for joy. It is seriously one of the BEST albums of music that I have ever heard in my entire life. One million thumbs up! ![]()
I just came in here to post this…I really like this album

AND

The two best albums from the past 10 years. Today is a good day for good music. I highly recommend checking out both of these works, especially YHF by Wilco.
Unbelievably awesome album.

I always assumed my friend was right when like, twenty years ago he told me this album was terrible. Turns out he’s flat-out wrong.
^ I am on the road a lot, so I usually listen to Jam On in the car. Everytime I hear a song that I like, but I don’t know it, I hit the info button. The odds that I am hitting the button during Railroad Earth are very high. Any recommendations for a noob? I’m digging that band.
