What ELSE are you listening to now?

This is one of those albums that I listened to so much when it was released that I kind of got burned out from it. Then once every couple of years I give it a whirl and remember why I listened the shit out of it back in the day. Good shit.

That’s the guy from Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros first solo album right?
You recommend?

I’ve been meaning to check it out.
I really like the Edward Sharpe album. They are very good live as well.
Great band.

Yes it is, dude pretty much did the entire thing himself. If you like the Magnetic Zeros you will almost certainly like this. I’ve been listening to this for a few weeks and I think I like it more every time.

Thanks Will - here’s a free video!

There’s an HD option too, wild stuff. It’s our opening number at Wormtown Festival 9/18/2010.

I’m editing the private party from the 3/19 show I recorded, which is the day following that one I’d sent. This one was a really huge gig for us, both of them were … but the recording isn’t as cool so far. So that’s what I’m listening to right now.

In the car I just took a disc out, totally between choices for the next drive.

This is some seriously good AUD source. I feel like a stinky hippy.

if anybody’s seen my facebook lately, you’ve probably noticed I’ve been listening to a lot of Beatles, I would definitely say this is my first REAL Beatles kick, like I totally get them now…I’ve had respect for them and what they did, but they’re goofy little songs like Why Don’t We Do It In The Road never meant much to me, and me and my buddy were talking about how there are bands like The Stones, Zeppelin, The Beatles, along those lines, that if you like one its just a matter of time before you go through a big kick of the other, a light just has to go off…its really cool that I’ve hit this thing with The Beatles after listening to em for so long, and I pretty much owe it all to that movie Across The Universe, it really did open so many doors for how their music can relate to real life, its crazy

^what is that?

"A very special album for Giya Kancheli’s 75th birthday. When starting out on his career as a creator of symphonic and chamber music, the Georgian composer also wrote much incidental music for the theatre and the cinema. Though still little-known in the West, the film music was widely heard across the former Soviet Union and the themes here – there are 20 on the album – enjoyed great popularity. "
